Interested in working for a company that sets the standard and leads with integrity? Join us on a mission that matters - one team, one fight.
About the Role:
CrowdStrike is a dynamic security company dedicated to safeguarding a diverse array of clients against cybersecurity threats. We’re expanding our team with technical project managers who are quick-thinking, eager to grow, adaptable, and skilled at handling high-profile, complex cybersecurity projects in a fast-moving environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
As a Technical Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for supporting the cybersecurity team, whose mission is threefold:
(1) First and foremost, we prevent breaches;
(2) We empower secure growth in new markets, enabling our sales teams to confidently expand our reach without compromising security; and,
(3) We develop resilience and scale operations to back business objectives.
We are seeking a candidate focused on driving the scheduling, scoping, and execution of critical projects in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. This role demands an individual who thrives on managing high-priority projects with short turnaround times and unexpected deadlines, quickly mobilizing cross-functional teams across key business units.
Typical teams will include security engineers, architects, vulnerability management analysts, penetration testing engineers, and incident response analysts, as well as other engineers, product managers, project managers, and program managers across the company, and with Consulting firms chosen to maximize efficiencies. Exposure to C-level and senior leadership is a norm and succinct communication for this audience is expected.
What You’ll Do:
Rapid Assessment and Resource Allocation Skills: Efficiently evaluate project needs, mobilize resources, and adapt plans to changing priorities
Plan and drive the tactical execution of project deliverables with cybersecurity and change management considered at all phases with strategic OKRs in mind
Help team members clarify business needs and measurable project outcomes
Implement project management best practices and operational strategies in a light-weight manner to ensure nimble execution
Cross-Business Unit Collaboration: Partner effectively with diverse teams to deliver cohesive project outcomes
Identify areas of process improvement
Reduce departmental silos to increase collaboration and productivity
Strong Prioritization and Decision-Making Skills: Make sound, quick decisions under pressure to meet tight deadlines
Ensure critical issues are identified, tracked through resolution, and escalated as necessary
Track the status of project activities and ensure schedules and priorities are met, timely
Determine and track project success metrics
Exceptional Communication: Set clear expectations, navigate complex dependencies, and keep all stakeholders informed on progress and challenges
Communicate project progress and delivery to team members and leaders
Lead meetings and create meeting minutes/action items
Demonstrate the ability to discuss tasks with employees in a manner that gives guidance and best practices, but does not dictate implementation
This is an ideal position for a project manager with a proven ability to perform under pressure, who brings a proactive, adaptable approach to high-visibility, mission-critical initiatives.
What You’ll Need:
5+ years of experience working in a cloud-based program/project management capacity. Cybersecurity, SaaS and/or IT operations are the closest and most obvious fields for candidates to come from, but don’t hesitate to apply if you’re an expert cat-herder from some other problem domain.
Enjoy (use the word FUN!) leading cross-functional teams to complete projects with multiple dependencies and constraints, and be inspired to be an active resource for technical teams.
Tactfully and directly facilitate conversations to prioritize, manage tradeoffs, identify gaps and risks, drive accountability, and measure successes.
Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and have the ability to make logical & fast decisions.
Demonstrate self-learning capabilities, taking initiative in a fast paced/quickly changing environment.
Proven risk management and strategic/critical thinking skills.
Technical know-how to include automation, data input, and the use of software to selectively share access to project data, strategic planning, budget management, and program operations – and reporting appropriately and timely.
Bonus Points:
OKR, KRI, KPI and continuous improvement leadership experience
Experience with/exposure to asset management, risk management and/or identity protection
Escalation management experience – diplomacy, sharp-focus, balanced conflict resolution skills
Contract management experience – coordinating legal, HR, procurement and vendor management
Operational experience with regulatory compliance including GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, SOX
Experience with Project Lifecycle and Project Management methodologies like Agile, Lean Principles, Kanban, Scrum, Scaled Agile
