As the Customer Development Manager (CDM) for H-E-B, you will oversee the relationship with this key retailer to drive profitable sales growth for the Oral Care category. You will be pivotal in developing and executing sales strategies, negotiating contracts, and managing various operational functions to ensure Colgate is the preferred supplier.

 

**This is a remote role and candidates local to the San Antonio, Austin & Houston areas are encouraged to apply. Individuals not local and/or relocatable to these areas will not be considered.**

 

What you will do:

  • Sales Objectives: Own and deliver on sales targets related to volume, spending, and retail execution
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute strategies to maximize volume, profitability, and customer service. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Category, Omni Marketing, and CS&L, to achieve category and customer objectives
  • Customer Engagement: Lead customer engagement and build a joint business plan with H-E-B, maintaining direct relationships with your category counterparts
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with H-E-B Team Leader, and Grocery Leadership Team to ensure clear, effective communication and alignment
  • P&L Management: Manage customer-level P&L, and develop effective baseline and promotional activities, ensuring accurate volume and spend management
  • Trade Spend Management: Conduct trade spend management, reconciliation, and monthly plan updates. Ensure timely deduction management and conduct ROI analysis
  • Revenue Growth Management: Apply RGM principles to drive growth
  • Demand Planning: Conduct accurate demand planning and forecasting to maintain optimal service levels for both Colgate and H-E-B

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in account management roles
  • Strong analytical experience with data and analytical tools
  • Proficiency in storytelling and negotiation
  • P&L management experience
  • Familiarity with syndicated service account and loyalty data (Nielsen, IRI)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Experience in consumer product goods
  • Familiarity with H-E-B
  • Experience with Omni-Commerce teams


Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $106,400.00 - $150,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
