We have an exciting opportunity within our Xyla Community Services finance team for a Credit Controller to join us! This dynamic and busy role involves managing financial collections and resolving account queries. You will build and maintain close relationships with all customers, including Local Authorities and healthcare clients, ensuring smooth account operations. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments to resolve outstanding payment issues.

Our Community Services team leverage short-term, long-term and lifetime solutions to quickly adapt to the changing needs of healthcare systems. As a CQC-registered healthcare organisation, working in partnership with integrated care systems and other NHS organisations, we deliver exceptional elective care outside of hospital.

Every day you will…

  • Timely and effective collection of all debts and customers payments, maintaining contact with clients to ensure invoices are clear for payment and resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices.
  • Liaise closely with other departments within the business so that credit issues are resolved smoothly to meet cash and debtor targets.
  • Handle disputed invoices and negotiating to bring payment within agreed terms.
  • Respond promptly to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Regularly contacting customers to ensure all relevant debts are managed as necessary and Issue customer statements; obtain customer remittances and assist with new account set up administration process.

To thrive in this role, you must ideally have…

  • Previous experience working in a Credit Control environment
  • The ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively.
  • A strong attention to detail with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Excel using VLOOKUP and Pivot tables
