The Contracts Manager – Air Traffic Solutions will lead and support the contracts strategy for our International Automation Portfolio. The Automation value stream is at the forefront of new business growth initiatives in a dynamic, young Strategic Business Unit (SBU). Air Traffic Solutions (ATS) is a part of the Raytheon Company legal entity, based in Marlborough, MA and Fullerton, CA, and has transitioned to Collins Aerospace in the Connected Aviation Solutions in 2023 to better align for our primary customer base as well as to realize technological and business synergies. ATS Contracts is at the forefront of forging a new path in working with both Government and commercial products and solutions.

ATS Contracts professionals are the face of the company to our multitude of customers and are valued business partners within Air Traffic Solutions, helping their Integrated Product Teams (IPT) arrive at compliant, creative, and profitable solutions to drive business growth.

What You Will Do:

  • You will work in a remote capacity from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). If you have a desire to come into the office, flexible seating on a reservation basis is available at most Collins office locations and a permanent office space may be available in Marlborough, MA or Fullerton, CA for a hybrid schedule. Some travel to other Collins or Raytheon sites and customer locations may be required up to 10%

Utilizing effective communication strategies, both written and verbal:

  • You will review new international customer solicitations/tenders, terms and conditions, contracts, and other types of agreements
  • You will evaluate international requests for proposal/solicitations for business fit, strategy, compliance with company policies and standards, and risk
  • You will evaluate and help complete due diligence on new international customers, in coordination with Legal
  • You will advise the Automation & Precision Navigation (A&PN) Contracts lead, Value Stream Leader, Legal, and Integrated Product Team (IPT) of potential proposal risks and mitigation strategies
  • You will lead international proposal development for the Contracts function, including providing inputs into pricing strategy, editing terms and conditions, compiling Contracts basis of estimates, preparing content for leadership reviews and summaries, authoring and coordinating term and condition exceptions and associated approvals.
  • You will lead international negotiations, including negotiating program scope, price, and terms and conditions.
  • You will close coordination and cooperation with other legal entities within Connected Aviation Solutions and Collins as we pursue new business jointly.
  • You will influence and collaborate closely with Program Management, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, Engineering, Global Trade, and key corporate stakeholders (Treasury and Tax departments)
  • You will analyze risk, formulate and summarize recommendations, and brief Contracts and Legal leadership

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience in contract management or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience in contract management or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have prior experience negotiating terms and condition reviews
  • Must have prior experience with commercial terms and conditions, intellectual property concerns, and holistic risk
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Business and financial acumen to include understanding proposal and program financial metrics.
  • Experience with US Government Contracts
  • Prior experience working in a dynamic environment across multiple functions and competing priorities
  • Proven ability in collaborating and adapting contracts approach to meet the needs of the business

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
