Commercial Equipment Regional Sales Manager (Northeast)

This position is responsible for Business Development with Dealers and OEMs in the Commercial Equipment Market specific to construction and agriculture industry. Identify and pursue potential clients and opportunities, servicing existing clients and presenting proposals to address client needs, concerns and objectives, attend industry functions.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
80% Work directly with Equipment Dealers and Equipment Dealer Groups throughout the region on training, marketing and dealer issues
Provide Training and support for on-line quoting system to Finance and Insurance (F&I) managers, sales managers, sales staff and dealer principals
Arrange and attend visits with current and new dealer F&I managers, sales managers, sales teams and dealer principals
Collaborate with OEM Finance and Insurance personnel to facilitate sale of company’s products and services
Educate customers and create awareness of available products and services.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities and relationships with dealers and OEM accounts (Hunting)
Prepare and send reports each month to dealers
Prepare and send announcements to dealer base when changes occur
Preparing and present proposals to individuals and groups of customers.
10% Direct customer facing with dealer sales team
5% Follow up via phone each week and provide additional training from sales visits
5% Attend equipment conventions/shows, manage booth, interact with dealers and their staff
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Minimum of 3 years of business development & sales experience
Goal-oriented, self-starter, positive attitude with strong communication, presentation and technology skills
Minimum 1-year experience selling Finance & insurance (Insurance, Service contracts, Extended warranties) products in the commercial equipment industry. Heavy Equipment (agriculture and/or Construction) experience a plus.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Candidate must reside in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, insurance or related field or equivalent work experience
Strong understanding of the commercial (Agriculture and Construction) equipment markets and dealer networks
Strong understanding of commercial equipment lending market
Property and Casualty Insurance license

How much should I expect to travel?
Approximately 50-65% overnight travel
Pay Range:
$72,900.00 - $121,900.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
