Claims Supervisor
US Virtual - (Recruiter/TA Use Only)
The Supervisor of claims is responsible for supervising activities in the claims department and oversees the investigation of insurance claims based on coverage.
- Hours are M-F 8am-5pm
- Starting pay is $65-$70K per year depending on experience.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Claims Management – 60%
- Supervises, organizes, leads, controls and coordinates the provision of services in the area(s) of but not limited to, claims administration, adjudication, compliance, litigation and liability, and corporate claims policy.
- Ensures complete and sound claims settlements, legal reviews and investigations when necessary.
- Evaluates claims staff work results by enforcing productivity standards, conducting quality audits and identifying trends.
- Responsible for resolving non-routine claim escalations.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) for departmental processes, procedures and training.
- Manages workload for team to meet established service levels.
Team leadership – 40%
- Supports and drives overall priorities and initiatives of the department.
- Provide strong leadership to guide and inspire team members while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Set clear performance expectations and goals for team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback while supporting team members development.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and across departments.
- Resolve conflicts and interpersonal issues within the team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Manage resources efficiently to meet team objectives.
- Monitor and analyze performance metrics to assess team effectiveness; oversees day to day improvements based on performance data.
What are the requirements for this position?
- High School Diploma or GED
- Adjuster License
- 5+ years of related experience in the function or similar external activity
- 2 + years of leadership experience and/or managing people
Pay Range:
$53,700.00 - $89,900.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
