As a Buyer, Packaging, you will manage all indirect spend for your assigned sites and categories, executing approved sourcing strategies in alignment with company requirements and guidelines. Your role will focus on achieving key objectives in collaboration with Business Units and Group functions, while driving overall success for dsm-firmenich.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for stakeholders on supported sites/categories.
• Define and implement sourcing approaches aligned with local spend strategies.
• Manage procurement activities for spend up to $500K.
• Drive savings initiatives and engage stakeholders in product, service, and process improvements.
• Lead negotiations, supplier selection, and contracting for regional/local spend.
• Manage supplier relationships, track performance, and ensure compliance with contracts and payment terms.

The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range DSM expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. This position is also eligible for bonuses and benefits, which are not included in the pay scale provided.  

Salary $84,900 – $100,000.

You bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in English required; additional languages are a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience preferred.
• Strong skills in negotiation, contracting, demand management, and familiarity with relevant systems.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and motivational abilities.
• Ability to take ownership and deliver results.
