The Opportunity…
As a Business Development Manager here at EDF, you will maximise our growth opportunities by developing new revenue streams and by enhancing the value of Infrastructure Services and Metering Sales to the wider business.
You will champion an environment of continuous improvement and change, ensuring the right skills and behaviours are exhibited to grow the business at pace.
Pay, benefits and culture
Alongside a starting salary of £54,000 (plus up to 10% annual commission), a business needs car, potential to earn 5% bonus, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include a range of benefits, from the big and formal to the small and personal.

What you’ll be doing
In this role you will be responsible for:
• Strategic Relationship Management: Maintain and enhance existing strategic relationships, ensuring performance against key retention metrics to sustain and improve market position. You will develop and implement account plans to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth as well as identifying and capitalising on upselling and cross selling opportunities.
• Partnership Development: Identify and develop new partnerships across various sectors to drive business growth.
• Market Insight and Opportunity Identification: Gather market insights and identify opportunities to expand our offering or service, aiming to retain existing clients and attract new ones.
• Bid Management: Lead the bid management process, ensuring timely and effective submission of proposals.
• Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with the Commercial Development team to negotiate bespoke contracts tailored to client needs.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and report on the performance of strategic relationships and new partnerships, making recommendations for improvement.
You will be accountable for driving Metering growth by identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with new and existing strategic clients and partners and also for strategic planning to drive metering growth and delivering value through retention.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone with the ability to convert opportunities into contractual value-adding arrangements. You’ll have operational excellence and an efficient growth mindset, together with high attention to detail.
You’ll be confident in establishing and maintaining effective business relationships with customers and key stakeholders at all levels with strong influencing skills and will have strong planning and organisational skills, able to translate business strategies into clear objectives, plans and team priorities.
