Raytheon ELCAN is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our global Business Development team. This strategic customer focused role will report to the Associate Director, Business Development in Canada.

In this role you will be part of a matrixed team that drives new standards of quality, innovation and performance in the global electro-optics market. Your established network knowledge of the market, customer needs and expectations will lead integrated proposal teams to deliver winning proposals in a growing culture focused environment.
Possible Work Locations: Nationwide within proximity of an airport.
Ability to travel 1-2 weeks a month within the US
What You Will Do
- Grow and maintain the pipeline of new and follow-on opportunities with existing and new aerospace and defense companies.
- Learn, maintain and update the Raytheon Customer Relationship Management tool as needed.
- Assist with business development annual strategic plans and growth strategies including market analysis, competitor analysis, and customer budget profiles.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, and an active network within US Defense and Aerospace primes.
- Develop and lead bid development and proposal generation including gate presentations.
- Support potential strategic partnerships for the business both as a prime or a subcontractor.
- Effective use of standardized business development to vet opportunities and lead pursuits.
- Develop customer, competitor and market understanding for assigned market sub-segment.
- Create and implement strategies and actions that create identify, develop and qualify profitable new business opportunities that grow the Raytheon ELCAN business.
- Develop and implement multi-level and multi-dimensional customer contact plans.
- Use consultative selling techniques to better understand customer desires and work with ELCAN Business Development, Program Management, and Engineering to create customer-centric solutions.
- Develop a prioritized pipeline of opportunities.
- Develop methods to understand and communicate price-to-win and market price analysis.
- Position will require mainly domestic and some international travel.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 6 experience.
- Experience in marketing management, business management or business development.
- Experience developing and maintaining customer and internal stakeholder relationships.
- Experience in developing and maintaining annual and long-range booking forecasts.
- Experience in identifying, creating, developing, qualifying, and winning new business opportunities.
- Experience working with DoD related government customers.
- Established network with US Defense and Aerospace industry customers.
- Ability to identify and develop relationships with strategic partners.
- Ability to work with other internal leaders in developing new business and/or expanding into new markets.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program / contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in international business markets.
- Experience working with federal acquisition process.
- Demonstrated networking capabilities among various communities (i.e. acquisition officials / leads in the Department of Defense and other government agencies).
- Ability to effectively communicate with military customers from all branches.
- Self-starter with a proven record of driving significant year over year growth.
- Excellent strategic and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (oral, written and listening).
- Agility and flexibility.
- Initiative, high energy and passion for developing new business.
- Ability to operate independently.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
