Summary

Incumbents are fully qualified to execute job/role accountabilities working independently on most aspects of the job. Work is guided by general policies and department objectives. Tasks are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required to complete recurring assignments independently and to determine the best methods to follow to complete assignments. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may have a negative impact on the division’s/department’s operations, schedules, and/or performance goals. Works under general Supervision. Situations not covered by general professional standards and precedents are referred to manager or expert resource. May demonstrate work methods to new employees. Builds internal and external relationships, with emphasis on those that facilitate the achievement of job/role accountabilities, such as relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal service organizations. Teamwork and general “can-do” attitude is a must as work responsibilities will vary.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to the following:

  • Supports the regional quote process and drives any quote or quote support activity within the site which does not fall within the responsibility of the regional quote process.
  • Works with more senior Business Development team members to develop the bids, proposals and presentation packages for customers.
  • Works with the site operations staff to ensure that the customer’s perceptions are being appropriately managed at all times.
  • Works with the Marketing group to research and summarize information relating to a specific customer’s market, strategies and direction, market share, strengths, weaknesses and competition.
  • Participates in account strategy and tactic development.
  • Arranges and coordinates details pertaining to customer visits and audits (including confidentiality agreement actions, visit preparation and logistics).
  • Completes customer-submitted surveys, self-audit forms and information requests.
  • Collects win/loss data for the site and ensures that the Director  is up to date on all results.
  • Keeps the Director abreast of the sales funnel as it applies to a given site.

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in an office environment, although working arrangement may be discussed with manager
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data
  • Repetitive manual movements are frequently required (e.g. data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc)
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required

Typical Experience

  • Two to Four years relevant experience

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Educational Requirements may vary by geography

Salary

$57,000  -  75,000 USD/year

Location: This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
