Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 base salary + book of commission, fuel card, phone and laptop provided. Benefits eligible (please see below)
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Bulk Fuels Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, understanding the fuel market, and ensuring seamless communication between internal teams and external stakeholders. This role requires a deep understanding of fuel suppliers, loading terminals, and the ability to identify and engage with alternate vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and providing exceptional customer service.
- Market Knowledge: Stay informed about the fuel market, including suppliers, loading terminals, and product availability.
- Vendor Management: Identify and engage with alternate vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and product availability.
- Communication: Coordinate effectively with the supply team, dispatch team, internal stakeholders, and external clients and vendors.
- Contract Knowledge: Understand and manage contracts related to fuel supply and sales.
- Product Availability & Pricing: Monitor and stay up to date on product availability and pricing to provide accurate information to clients and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the fuel industry.
- Account Management: Minimum of 2 years of experience in account management.
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of the fuel market, including suppliers and loading terminals.
- Computer and Phone Skills: Proficiency in using computers and handling phone communications.
- Personality: Upbeat, happy, and accustomed to working with people.
- Customer Service: Excellent at handling customer demands and able to withstand high volume at times.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Vendor Management: Ability to identify and engage with alternate vendors and suppliers.
- Contract Management: Knowledge of contract management and negotiation.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel/fly to petroleum events and meet clients, approximately 10% total travel annually.
- Must be available to clients on weekends and all hours, with good support and time management encouraged to eventually maintain a normal business schedule.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
