Broadband Project Manager- REMOTE

DESCRIPTION

We are currently looking for a Broadband Project Manager to join our team. With guidance from manager, plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated broadband engineering and digital equity related projects to ensure that goals and objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed timeframe and funding parameters.

Essential Duties:

• Establishes and maintains client relationship throughout project to ensure satisfaction.
• Reviews project proposal or plan to determine scope, timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
• Collaborates with team leadership.
• Ongoing project risk assessment and risk mitigation.
• Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Reviews timesheets.
• Develops/implements project plans/methodologies for less complex projects.
• Confers with project staff and resource managers to outline workplan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Manages the resources of the project.
• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Reviews/collects status reports from project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
• Prepares project reports for management, client, or others and performs cost management analysis.
• May influence clients into winning work (new work added) for future projects.
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies including the National Telecommunications and Information Association and the Federal Communications Commission.
• Conducts safety meetings and training programs to ensure safety requirements are met.
• Generates and/or approves purchase orders, billing, credits.
• Occasional to moderate travel may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• May supervise employees and indirect external project staff (subconsultants).

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Scienceor 3-5 years project management experience 
• Experience in telecommunications industry preferred
• Proven success managing projects
• Project management certification or coursework preferred
