Role Summary/Purpose:

The AVP, Luxury role will be a critical member of the Luxury portfolio team and will lead and manage campaign execution as well as be essential in defining new opportunities to drive profitable growth of assigned programs. The selected marketer will be responsible for partnering with the Luxury Marketing Leader, clients and a broad cross-functional team to develop and execute B2B/B2C growth strategies and drive volume growth, client penetration, as well as measuring the effectiveness of marketing spend & profitability.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assess select client needs, business goals, and opportunities. Jointly create and execute a growth plan to align with client overall business strategies. 

  • Utilize SYF consumer and competitive data analysis to develop strong, simple, and differentiated consumer value propositions. Including promotional financing, rewards programs, special discounts and segmentation.

  • Jointly with Sales drive and communicate key metrics pertaining to the performance of the client portfolio (sales, new accounts, repeat purchase percentage, digital engagement, penetration, and return).

  • Develop business case presentations and action plans to drive marketing strategy, including targeting recommendations, test design, cross-channel optimization, product opportunities and cost/benefit analysis.

  • Help to drive digital strategy and partner with digital teams to execute communication strategies (SEO, SEM, email). Partner with client to consult on digital best practices to integrate financing into their website strategies and all other digital marketing channels.

  • Manage and oversee a marketing budget and measure effectiveness.

  • Create, build, and maintain a collaborative partnership with performance marketing, legal, sales, finance, and operations teams to drive overall results.

  • Proactively manage relationships with creative agencies and outside vendors.

  • Manage marketing programs from start to finish through Work Front process and approval.

  • Ensure compliance with all internal & external regulations.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and a minimum 8 years of professional work experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience 

Desired Characteristics:

  • MBA preferred

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and implement marketing plans to drive business results.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to interact effectively with key clients and sales teams

  • Analytical skills (segmentation, targeting, ROI prioritization)

  • Ability to drive business results--executes against plan and delivers

  • Ability to influence across all levels of organization

  • Credit card or other financial services marketing experience

  • Collaborative team player with ability to influence across all levels of organization

  • Proficiency with collaboration tools including Workfront.

  • Advertising agency experience a plus.

Grade/Level: 11

                                                                                  

The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

                               

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles.  Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles.  Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post.  All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
