Summary:
In this role, you will oversee large-scale consulting projects, manage key client relationships, and serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives. Your expertise in surgical services, perioperative operations, and cost-containment strategies will be critical in identifying and implementing solutions that enhance financial and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development
Lead cross-functional project teams by fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment and providing guidance, feedback, and coaching to support professional growth.
Mobilize and energize our teams to deliver quality results while maintaining a positive culture and promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning to drive consulting excellence.
Project Leadership & Execution
Plan and oversee the execution of complex projects, programs, and operations across the client’s system of care, including managing an annual portfolio of engagement projects.
Ensure successful and timely delivery by managing project scope, resources, and financial performance, leading cross-functional teams to achieve measurable results, and developing project plans that align with goals, timelines, and budgets.
Strategic Consulting & Insights Development
Leverage data analytics and synthesize data from multiple sources to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and provide strategic recommendations that address complex business challenges across the client’s system of care, all while aligning with industry trends and expert knowledge.
Challenge the status quo by introducing innovative solutions to improve surgical services performance and support the development and implementation of enhanced consulting services, products, and tools.
Client & Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior executives, including C-suite leaders, serving as a strategic advisor who proactively addresses client needs, identifies opportunities for improvement, and shapes and implements solutions to ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnership growth.
Manage overall client relationships while identifying and supporting business development opportunities—such as upselling and cross-selling services—by leveraging our subject matter expertise throughout the sales process.
Thought Leadership & Practice Development
Represent Vizient as a subject matter expert at conferences, speaking engagements, and industry events, while contributing to intellectual capital development by publishing insights, developing content, and refining consulting methodologies.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance Vizient’s consulting offerings and expand the impact of surgical services solutions.
Effective Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Develop and deliver clear, persuasive, and influential communications to executive-level audiences, facilitating complex discussions, meetings, and presentations with confidence and impact.
Adapt our messaging for different stakeholders to ensure clarity, engagement, and alignment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree desired; clinical degree strongly preferred.
10 or more years of relevant experience in clinical and cost improvement initiatives within a healthcare provider organization and/or consulting firm required.
Service Line Management experience in Surgical Services/Perioperative department desired.
Proven expertise in developing and executing operational strategies, analyzing financial and quality data, and leading performance improvement initiatives.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage executives, providers, and staff at all levels.
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet client’s needs.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $156,500.00 to $290,100.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
