What You Will Do
Today across RTX there are a variety of business processes and software platforms that support the flow of information from our customers to our factories to our suppliers and enable our ability to report and analyze our collective performance. This combination of process and tools is commonly called an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. In support of the future of RTX the enterprise has begun an ERP transformation journey to optimize processes, enable data strategy, and implement a common approach to our next generation ERP software – SAP S4/HANA.
The RTX SAP S4/HANA Program Management Office team is focused on setting up the framework and executing RTX ERP Transformation by partnering with Corporate, Enterprise Services and the Business Units. Collectively we will drive customer and financial performance through technological advancements, data insights, and process optimization.
The ideal candidate will draw from experience in ERP Software (SAP), MRP, Supply Chain, procurement and sourcing knowledge that can assist with translating this knowledge and collaborate with the Source to Pay leader on the vision, strategy and transformation efforts tied to the licensing and planning of the architecture for all ERP systems. The candidate will have strong technical experience in Supply Chain, and Procurement systems within the Aerospace and Defense industry. Ability to lead the coordination, communication, and integration of partners and suppliers to support the achievement of technical, financial and performance objectives is critical.
The ERP Transformation Associate Director on the Source to Pay team plays a crucial role in leading and executing enterprise resource planning (ERP) initiatives to optimize business processes and drive operational excellence. This position requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and deep expertise in ERP systems, data and implementation methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Master Data: Develop and execute a comprehensive ERP transformation strategy for Master Data for Sourcing, Contracting and Procurement systems
2. Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the successful implementation of ERP projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
3. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders across departments to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with business needs.
4. Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to drive user adoption, minimize resistance, and maximize the benefits of ERP transformations.
5. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within ERP systems, leveraging technology to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
6. Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with ERP vendors and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions and services.
7. Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with ERP implementations ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and data security standards.
8. Performance Monitoring: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of ERP initiatives, providing regular updates and reports to senior leadership.
9. Some travel required ~ 25%
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree (in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Information Technology or related field) or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience in Operations and/or Supply Chain, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional cross-Business Unit teams.
In-depth knowledge of ERP systems, (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics), Data (master and transactional) and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer
MBA or advanced degree preferred.
