This role has the following key responsibilities:  Lead complex, highly visible, global process improvement/Lean/kaizen projects for delivering innovative global solutions that identify and accelerate operational productivity improvements, optimization, and efficiency. Cross-functional project engagements will drive collaboration while resolving business obstacles ensuring high quality, timely, on budget deliverables in accordance with SOPs, policies, and practices. Work as process improvement expert to drive and support business commitment for process optimization, and efficiency through change and process improvement increasing value-add throughout the organization.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as lead and advisor for large scale, cross functional, global Lean projects across R&DS functional groups with a data capture, project planning, change/data/process management, assessment, recommended solutions.
  • Initiate and lead discussions with business functions and executive management teams to support determining project scope, timelines, and feasibility for assigned project(s).
  • Participate in strategic meetings and focus teams serving as advisor while gathering potential initiative insight for future engagement.
  • Instrumental in driving business benefits tracking & reporting for Lean projects/ programs.
  • Evaluate and provide feedback about risks, quality, and overall probability of success minimizing negative impact on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Develop risk management plans including coordination of issue escalation and resolution as well as contingency plans to mitigate risks across initiatives.
  • Serve as knowledge and subject matter expert for the initiatives and contact for senior and executive management.
  • Ensure initiatives are aligned with overall strategy ensuring alignment and incorporation with overall IQVIA strategy.
  • Identify and establish transparent, successful collaboration with internal and external stakeholders: team, client and IQVIA.
  • Lead high level presentations to executive management.
  • Accountable for successful delivery of projects including meeting project timelines in line with meeting budgets and customer experience.
  • Provide advice, support and guidance as needed to serve as Lean mentor to R&DS colleagues for their project execution and support in driving Lean culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree business, life sciences or related field and a minimum of 12 years of experience in relevant function (e.g., clinical operations, applied math, IT, data management, business, or laboratory), required.
  • Including a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience (Life sciences/Healthcare) including project management experience in driving Lean process improvement projects
  • Knowledge of process / data analysis techniques and methodologies
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
  • Competent in facilitating Kaizen events and workshops in service industry environment.
  • Strong influencing, problem resolution, motivation, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Competent presentation skills meeting the needs of all levels within the organization up to and including the executive management team.
  • Strong project leadership, staff management, and/or project planning/management skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management, operations staff, clients, and executive management.
  • Certified Lean Facilitator, PMP or equivalent training and certification.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $101,600.00 - $188,600.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits. Apply
