Lilly has created a new centralized Global Customer Office by assembling a group of teams who are passionate about understanding and helping customers work together and meet their evolving needs within a complex healthcare ecosystem. The goal is to deliver remarkable, data-driven, end-to-end experiences across a myriad of touchpoints to drive positive outcomes for people living with health conditions ranging from diabetes to migraine to stage IV cancer and beyond.
In today’s ever-changing world, consumption habits are shifting faster than ever before. As such, Lilly is reimagining and reinvigorating a new Media Center of Excellence, using a centralized team focused on best-in-class fresh media thinking. This team is charged with formalizing the build of valuable channel-specific marketing expertise, processes, innovation, and knowledge-sharing. Lilly is staffing for an Associate Director, Medical Nonpersonal Media to work in the hub and in partnership with our marketing teams. This position reports to the Senior Director of Media. The person in this role is responsible for providing industry leading guidance on how brands and medical teams pull their strategy through digital platforms and traditional media to provide clinical care gap and evidence sharing education and awareness to healthcare providers.
Job Requirements
- Business Acumen: Synthesize variety of data points & research to provide recommendations that will achieve medical goals
- Operational Excellence: Management of SOW and agency partnership with increased level of due diligence. Participate in annual planning process; including development of media objectives, channel strategy, channel mix and measurement plan, while challenging the status quo and constantly driving for innovation. Ensure compliance with all marketing guidelines, best practices, privacy policies, and other policies and procedures.
- Strategic Partner: Determine how we should create valued HCP customer experiences through improved digital omnichannel orchestration, working closely with colleagues across medical affairs and BUs. Comfortable with discussion/presentation to leadership 2-3 levels up, including CMO’s and other C-suite.
- Technical Expertise & Executional Excellence: Create and maintain strategic partnerships and develop deep expertise with 3rd party platforms or sources of authority (SOAs) that may be connected to Lilly’s omnichannel orchestration engine and to provide solutions for clinical care gaps & evidence sharing. Draw from in-depth knowledge of SOAs and “best practices” within digital platforms to recommended channels that will achieve medical team goals. In collaboration with the media agency, develop, manage, and evaluate success of channel and tactical plans. Ensure consistent application of TA strategy and customer insight across touchpoints and channels.
- Data Driven: Must be adept at synthesizing a variety of data points and research to provide recommendations that will achieve goals. In partnership with media agency, analyze and optimize media mix based on data & outcomes
- Strong Collaborator: Collaborate across teams to define standards (relative to channels) to enable the best customer experience.
- Innovation: Identify opportunities across content and execution to drive clinical care gaps and evidence sharing.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years digital/media agency experience
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position
Additional Qualifications
- 8+ years of customer-facing processes or function, including marketing or digital marketing/media agency experience
- Requires broad experience across multiple media channels preferably with both offline and online planning experience with strong experience with various Planning Tools, Media Measurement and Media Mix Modeling
- Self-directed, with strong decision-making skills, strong project management skills, budget management, and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Must have a proven track record in influencing levels above them and outside of their functional area with a service mindset
- Must be comfortable with change and ambiguity and ability to resolve problems
- Ability to respect and work effectively with diverse teams
- Track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams to deliver results
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- Strong verbal and written communications skills with high attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
Other Considerations
- Travel 20-40% (dependent upon where employee is based and business needs)
- Position can be based either in Indianapolis or remote, with travel to HQ
- Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $122,500 to $179,300 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).Of course, the compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
