Associate Director, Analytics (Media)

The purpose of this role is to execute the approach and strategies outlined by senior leadership, lead and manage day to day work, and manage the day-to-day communication with clients.

Job Description:

The Associate Director of Analytics leads the development of data driven solutions for clients – including report automation, analysis, and insight – with the objective of optimizing the performance of media initiatives. You will report to the Senior Director, Analytics to manage data and insight delivery processes, drive innovation, and ensure all around team success.

You will understand measurement principles, ranging from oversight of daily tasks (KPI development, measurement planning, recurring monthly reports, etc.) to acting as a consultant on strategic recommendations with sweeping effects, like Multi-Touch Attribution models and Cross-Device measurement and mapping.

You will oversee our automotive client's business, which includes team leadership, project management, storytelling, insights and analytics solution development. You will have the passion and ability to mine data to answer complex questions that help our clients achieve their business objectives. This is a remote role (EST) with a preference for Detroit location.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and oversee end-to-end media measurement strategies, aligning them with client goals.
  • Implement comprehensive solutions to assess campaign performance, including brand lift studies and cross channel attribution methodologies.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to optimize media investment across traditional and digital channels.
  • Lead meetings with product owners and key stakeholders to present, explain in detail and defend media performance results, KPIs, optimization strategies and tactical POVs
  • You will work with our teams, including media planning, account management, and data engineering, to ensure cohesive integration of analytics into broader strategies.
  • Mentor junior analytics team members, encouraging a culture of innovation and learning.
  • Lead and have hands-on participation with the development of tools, dashboards and techniques to optimize media performance to promote brand consideration and performance of key marketing activities
  • Can set up and implement appropriate testing scenarios to determine essential insights and answers to key questions
  • Test and evaluate new tools, technology, and understand how they can fit into the existing infrastructure
  • Use data visualization tools such as Tableau or similar platforms to create clear, visually compelling dashboards and presentations.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in media, research, consumer insights, communications and technology, understand their impact on metrics/measurement, and know how to work with leadership to address these in advance

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in advertising/marketing, business, engineering or statistics/mathematics
  • 6+ yrs experience as a digital media specialist in analytics, media planning, consumer research, account planning, marketing, or media research
  • Advanced knowledge of digital media analytics principles and experience with major analytics solutions and dashboard/data visualization tools
  • Understanding of A/B and Multi-Variant testing methodologies and measurement strategies associated with performance optimization
  • Project management experience across teams with multiple stakeholders and a very clear understanding of working with departments (technology, creative, UX, media planning, media investment, programmatic media) to understand client priorities and overall strategic considerations

The annual salary range for this position is $94,000-$152,375. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
