Application Platform Specialist

Red Hat North America Public Sector is looking for an Application Platform Specialist to join the SLED team in the Western US.

In this role, you will be responsible for working with a team of account managers to enable customers and prospects to define, develop, and deploy their technology modernization strategies using Red Hat technology and services. You'll build strategic relationships with executives and key business leaders across a territory of State Local & Education (SLED).

As an Application Platform Specialist, you will endorse our cloud platform solutions, while leading customers on the path of cultural and technology transformation. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

What you will do:

- Work with the the SLED sales team to plan a strategy to grow marketshare

within a set of defined accounts

- Consult with customers to understand their core business drivers and technical requirements

- Present Red Hat's technical solutions and manage emerging technology opportunity cycles with customers from qualification through to decision and

procurement

- Guide customers from their initial interest in agile transformation through to

the adoption of Red Hat's cloud platform technologies, which will provide the

technology foundation for improvement

- Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives within key accounts to cre‐

ate long-term partnerships

- Ensure that Red Hat's cloud and application platform solutions become the

first choice for our key customers

What you will bring:

- 5+ years of experience working in a solutions sales, solutions architecture, or

agile transformation consulting role

- 2+ years of experience with modern application delivery frameworks and plat‐

forms like Kubernetes and Docker, Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform,

Apache Kafka, MuleSoft, Jenkins, Apache Spark, MongoDB, and other application frameworks

- Technical knowledge of enterprise middleware, virtualization and container

technologies

- Understanding of agile methodologies and organizational and IT

transformation

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong presentation skills with experience delivering to practitioners, man‐

agers, and executives

- Ability to sell solutions in a multi-product environment

- Proven ability to work with global, regional and local cross-functional teams to

achieve success for customers

- Ability to maintain a balance of strategic and tactical skills

The salary range for this position is $260,330.00 - $429,590.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
