A Brief Overview
The WC Classifications Analyst is responsible for reviewing TriNet client' business operations, as well as the client employee's job duties, to ensure TriNet is compliant with Workers' Compensation Basic Manual guidelines. This role identifies, communicates and resolves issues found during the risk evaluation with appropriate internal and external customers.

What you will do

  • Complete risk evaluations of all clients’ business operations and workers compensation classification coding for accounts with 100 WSE’s or fewer.
  • Review new hire job duties and overall client operations to ensure WSE’s are appropriately classified at the time of onboarding.
  • Review the claims report on a weekly basis to ensure the assigned classification is appropriate based on the injury type.
  • Research and respond to all carrier inquiries and participate in the annual audit as needed.
  • Schedule and conduct phone reviews with the client directly and communicate changes to CX as needed
  • Review & analyze Risk Mitigation surveys as assigned to determine if a full class code review is warranted.
  • Prepares and submits evaluation findings and makes recommendations to management on code changes that exceed authority level.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience-Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • Typically 2+ years experience in workers compensation premium auditing-Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge and background in Workers' Compensation Property & Casualty insurance
  • Strong working knowledge of NCCI & Independent Bureau Workers’ Compensation rules, manuals, and industry practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, continually changing business and work environment while prioritizing multiple priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Licenses and Certifications

  • APA course completion; PAAS training course completion "X" certification preferred Upon Hire-Preferred

The salary range for this role is $55,100 to $112,500. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience. 

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
