Location: Fully Remote (reporting to Wall Township, NJ)Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMSalary: $85,000 - $88,000 per year

 

Please note: This is a fully remote position. As a key member of our claims team, your role will involve supervising 450-500 claims while maintaining and working a desk of 50-60 claims across multiple jurisdictions and industries.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As a Workers’ Compensation Claim Supervisor – Technical, you’ll provide supervision, oversight, and hands-on support to ensure quality and compliance in claims handling. This role involves:

  • Claims Supervision: Overseeing 450-500 claims across PA, NJ, MD, NY, and DE jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with Corporate Claim Standards and client-specific handling instructions.
  • Hands-On Claims Handling: Maintaining a personal caseload of 50-60 claims across various industries.
  • Technical Oversight: Guiding and mentoring adjusters on investigations, evaluations, and adjustments to ensure thorough and accurate claims resolution.
  • Litigation Management: Providing oversight of litigation, including attorney selection, planning, budgeting, and strategic resolution of litigated claims.
  • File Reviews and Reserve Oversight: Reviewing files for compliance, accuracy, and adherence to standards; establishing and managing reserves.
  • Collaboration: Partnering with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth claims handling and prompt issue resolution.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Preparing reports and updates to track claims progress and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • A proactive, self-starter mentality with attention to detail.
  • Ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel.

Preferred Experience:

  • Adjuster’s licenses in NY and DE (highly desired).
  • Experience handling claims in PA, NJ, MD, NY, and DE jurisdictions.
  • Seven (7) years of claims experience with three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • AIC perferred but not required.
