Role Summary:
The Wholesale Field Operations Specialist role is responsible for enrolling and leveraging dealer facing Wholesale Parts Sales programs and implementing automotive parts wholesale business best practices. Daily activities include traveling full time to dealers in key metro markets within the Region to coach dealers to increase Volkswagen Group of America (VWGoA) profitability through the increase of wholesale parts and accessory sales. Performance for this role will be monitored and evaluated based on continuously improving parts sales; program engagement, dealership parts purchase loyalty, and Parts Departments key performance indicators (KPIs).
Role Responsibilities:
Lead improvements in wholesale parts sales by:
- Leveraging Dealer Parts Best Practices in parts inventory management, Parts Marketing Programs, point-of-sale, drop ship programs, national promotions, pricing strategies, incentive & reward programs, wholesale CRM programs, CCRF, Genuine Advantage, Wholesale Co-Op, E-Commerce.
- Working directly with dealers to increase wholesale part throughput.
- Supporting enrolled dealers with Genuine Advantage reimbursement programs through overall engagement and increased conversion percentages.
- Supporting dealers E-Commerce business plan by analyzing expenses and revenues to achieve profitability.
- Providing in-depth analysis of all Dealer Parts purchases, stocking & inventory levels
- Monitoring under-performing Dealers in regards to Parts sales, compile performance metrics to address shortcomings
- Assisting in the coordination of Area Service &/or Parts Managers meetings as required
- Taking action of Dealer-specific wholesale parts programs for Over the Counter growth and sustainment strategies.
- Providing support to dealership staff on scheduled visits to customers to promote services and to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Supporting the region dealer network by conducting Volkswagen’s Certified Collision Repair Facility assessments when needed.
- Supporting the region dealer network by evaluating target market areas where Volkswagen’s Certified Collision Facilities are not represented.
- Communicating and tracking all dealer contact visits on a weekly basis to management, dealers, and regional partners.
- Scheduling, booking, and tracking all weekly travel a minimum of 2 weeks in advance, and in accordance with Volkswagen travel policy and procedures.
- Implementing Parts promotions to help achieve Over the Counter critical targets and maximize Dealer profitability.
- Presenting and monitor Regional promotional/incentive performance.
- Implementing Over the Counter initiatives to ensure alignment with overall corporate objectives.
- Improving dealership parts purchase loyalty and documenting and reporting dealership performance against KPI.
- Coaching of dealership staff to improve the conversion of inactive customers to active as well as the addition of new customers.
- Measuring Dealership Performance and working to increase dealer awareness, business opportunity, and efficiency.

Years of Experience:
- 5+ years of experience with thorough knowledge and understanding of wholesale parts operations
Education - Required
- Bachelor’s Degree
Education - Desired:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Marketing
Skills:
- Account and relationship management

Specialized Skills - Required:

- Experience of wholesale parts sales
- Knowledgeable of Dealer DMS systems applications (ADP/R&R) and Office applications.
- Experience of developing and implementing parts sales/action plans
Specialized Skills - Desired:
- Experience of new business or sales channel set-up
- Knowledge of Aftermarket or OEM parts sales and supply environment
- Wholesale (Field) automotive experience
- Parts, accessory, & service marketing experience
- Retail/Parts Manager Experience
- Proficient in Inventory management
Work Flexibility:
- Must be willing to travel up to 95%.
- Travel predominately in a dedicated regional area within the US.
Compensation
Salary range is dependent on factors such as geographical differentials, industry-based experience, skills, training, credentials, and other qualifications.
In the state of California, the salary range is $88,500.00 - $141,600.00.
