Metro State University, Minnesota’s public, urban university, and four-time recipient of the Insight Into Diversity Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award is seeking to hire a Digital Process Automation Specialist This is a fulltime position within the Institutional Effectiveness and Technology (IET) Division.
Job Responsibilities:
This position serves as the web and application developer within Integration, Development, Enterprise Architecture, & Solutions department (IDEAS). The focus of this position is to be a high-level resource, and a key member of a team focused on developing, implementing, administrating, customizing, and supporting the university recruitment and retention applications at the enterprise level. This position also serves as the technical expert and lead for the University’s Constituent Resource Management (CRM) system and is responsible for the oversight for all University CRM configurations, data integrations, and custom and third-party applications. This position is responsible for ensuring appropriate information and data security protocols are implemented and adhered to. This includes participation in data classification and governance efforts.
This is a highly responsible position that provides daily delivery of customer focused university-wide technical support. This position's scope includes tier three technical support for employees within IET and areas across the university where proper use of enterprise applications is critical to successfully accomplish their tasks and goals.
This position plays a critical role in supporting the division’s digital accessibility efforts by ensuring the work they lead and perform is in alignment with current and future policies, procedures and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications
The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position:
- Two-year degree in MIS, Business Administration, or an IT related field; or a combination of equivalent education, training, and work experience.
- Five (5) years of experience working in an administrative role in an enterprise CRM.
- SQL/Database experience and/or understanding.
- Ability to analyze and align university-wide business processes to provide efficient technical solutions within the university CRM solution(s).
- Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to participate in discussions with a diverse group of technical and non-technical individuals both internal and external to the university.
- Experience leading stakeholder groups through process and technical changes.
- Strong understanding of university recruitment and retention processes and the departmental functions supporting them.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Access, Excel, and Word.
- Experience developing functional dashboards and reports.
- Two years of experience implementing best practices for CRM users, including system documentation, user training, data integrity and integration between systems
Preferred Qualification
- 5+ years’ experience working with CRM application design, build, test, and deployment to production.
- Hands-on experience supporting or performing processes within a student affairs department in a university.
- Comprehensive understanding of student lifecycles stages in both recruitment and retention.
- Experience with Minnesota State’s system-wide Student Information System, ISRS.
- Experience with enterprise reporting/business intelligence methodologies.
- Familiarity with data warehouses and their data dependencies for long-term analysis.
- Experience working with student-facing functional areas such as Admissions, Marketing, Registration, Billing, and/or Academic Advising.
- Familiarity with Web Services and their uses integrating authenticated portals with enterprise information systems.
Other Requirements
Physical Requirements of the Job: Requires occasionally transporting such articles as file folders, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves maintaining a stationary position for long periods of time, a certain amount of movement is often necessary in carrying out job duties.

Salary Range: $32.89 - $54.06 / per hour depending upon qualifications
