JOB OVERVIEW

The VP of Product Business Development at Net Health is a key leadership role responsible for driving strategic business development and revenue growth of the Wound Care non-EHR Product portfolio. This role includes product advancement through product innovation, evolution, partnerships, and potential M&A. Current product portfolio responsibilities include Tissue Analytics, a leading wound imaging and analytics solution platform. Additionally, it includes product responsibility for all Data and DME solutions in the Wound Care line of business. Central to the role is ensuring product market fit now and in the future for the product portfolio through market and client alignment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in healthcare business development, a deep understanding of EHR systems, RCM services, Data Interoperability, Platform-based solutions, and a strategic mindset to foster impactful partnership collaboration. In addition to managing a product line, you will manage a team of Product Managers and/or Product Owners as well as represent the roadmap and priorities aligned with key engineering leadership. The VP of Product Extensions is ultimately responsible for all go-to-market activities and is expected to work in concert with all relevant departments (Sales, Client Experience, Marketing, Engineering, and others) to ensure the success of their product.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Business Development:

  • Run GTM process for key growth partnerships for the Wound Care line of business
  • Drive bookings growth for new partnerships by aligning Business Unit (BU) sales teams on targets, including reporting on KPIs related to booking targets, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain all pricing models for the product portfolio
  • Lead the creation and delivery of training, collateral, and marketing materials to support partnership sales.
  • Identify gaps limiting the growth of the product portfolio through informed investment decisions including build, buy, partner recommendations while preparing business cases, projected costs, risks, revenue and adoption.
  • Evaluate strategic M&A opportunities
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with generic EHR providers to enhance interoperability and data integration of the applicable product portfolio.
  • Act as a cross-functional leader, collaborating with sales, product, marketing, and operations teams to maximize the impact of partnership initiatives.
  • Perform product intelligence activities to:
    • Understand market and competitive dynamics
    • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of client business and operational processes
    • Maintain an understanding of healthcare and regulatory trends as they impact the products/product line
    • Build a knowledge base of competitive products and trends with product marketing utilizing tribal knowledge and market research
    • Identify and assess the strengths and weakness of competitive and alternative offerings in the market, and collaborate with product marketing to develop a strategy for winning against competition
  • Discover product opportunities in the market by interviewing clients, monitoring adoption and strategically engaging with clients to inform the product roadmap

Product Management:

  • Build client advocates that love our solutions.
  • Serve as the advocate for the product with clients, prospects, the market, and the industry when making roadmap prioritization decisions
  • Manage the product roadmap to ensure it is updated on a regular basis and reflects current state; measure results and adapt timelines as necessary
  • Drive key strategic roadmap priorities based upon in depth healthcare, client, and market research
  • Executive management of the product and engineering teams priorities through roadmap and resource alignment; communicate progress at regular intervals to internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsibility for Medical Device Certifications, Risk and Compliance as applicable for the solution portfolio.
  • Own applicable Net Health client advisory groups and conference sessions; set agendas, secure speakers and facilitate sessions, collect, summarize and present feedback
  • Collaborate with the Product/Solution Specialist and development teams to ensure alignment in demos with market problems and needs
  • Support win-loss analysis by understanding why recent evaluators of the product did or did not buy, and what steps they took in the buying process, in collaboration with product marketing
  • Support trade shows, advertising, webinars, and conferences related to product
  • Work closely with Product Marketing to ensure on upcoming roadmap or launch activities that require their collaboration or contribution
  • Support the Sales and Client Experience teams as needed with product and subject matter expertise for prospect and client activities
  • Create and deliver thoughtful information (for example webinars, blogs, e-books, etc.) to influence clients, buyers, industry specialists, research analysts, key editors in the press, and other third parties
  • Establish & foster Implementation & Training (I&T) service partnerships to enhance smooth client onboarding, client adoption and support.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Education – bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, engineering, computer science, or healthcare-related discipline. Master’s degree is desirable.
  • 10+ years’ experience in business development, partnership development, corp dev, and/or M&A activities
  • 7+ years’ experience working with healthcare information technology, electronic medical records, patient workflow or healthcare software generally, with at least five (5) years in a product focused role
  • 5+ years’ experience in Product Management, Healthcare preferred
  • 5+ years of employee management
  • 3+ years’ experience as GM and/or Product P&L ownership over an individual product/product portfolio with repeatable growth track record
  • SaaS and or Mobile solutions experience a plus
  • Project leadership and negotiating skills
  • Strong leadership and technical skills, entrepreneurial in nature
  • Effective research and personal networking skills
  • Keeps commitments, meets deadlines, and completes assignments within the allotted timeframe
  • Well-honed writing skills, tactful verbal/interpersonal communication abilities, and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Ability to translate problems into understandable requirements
  • Ability to self-manage with limited direction
  • Ability to drive consensus across groups and resolve conflict
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

REQUIRED SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records is a plus
  • ProductBoard, Pendo, AskNicely

Salary Range: $184,000 - $230,000 USD
