We are looking for an experienced VP of Partnerships to join our Business Development team. This role will be responsible leading efforts to integrate Talkspace services into primary care networks (PCPs), large practices, and health systems. This leader will develop and execute go-to-market strategies for PCP engagement, analyze regional variations in referral models, and position Talkspace as a clinical partner of choice.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in healthcare partnerships, selling into medical practices, creating unique business lines for provider partners while demonstrating a consultative approach to business development.

What You’ll Do

  • Reporting directly into the Chief Growth Officer, develop and execute a GTM strategy for primary care physician (PCP) integration, leveraging insights from referral data, provider adoption patterns, and industry trends
  • Assess competitive landscapes and identify opportunities to differentiate Talkspace in the behavioral health & PCP integration space
  • Cultivate and manage senior executive relationships at large provider groups and health systems, ensuring alignment with Talkspace’s growth strategy
  • Oversee the sales cycle through implementation
  • Analyze geographic variations in telehealth and behavioral health integration strategies, tailoring solutions to market-specific needs (for example, tech-driven approaches in California vs. reimbursement-driven models in the Southeast)
  • Develop compelling proposals and business cases to drive medical referrals incorporating data-driven ROI models and provider incentive structures.
  • Monitor state and federal regulations impacting reimbursement and provider incentives in digital behavioral health.
  • Partner cross-functionally with clinical, product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless implementation of Talkspace within PCP settings
  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to health systems, payers, and provider groups, helping them integrate virtual behavioral health solutions into their primary care models.
  • Implement repeatable, data-driven referral processes, track regional KPIs, and continuously refine best practices to drive measurable impact for both Talkspace and provider partners.
  • Develop localized outreach strategies, cultivate direct relationships with regional health systems and physician leaders, and adapt Talkspace’s PCP integration model to specific market conditions.

About You 

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare business development, provider network sales, with a focus on behavioral health, telehealth, and/or PCP integration.
  • Strong understanding of PCP referral behaviors, healthcare system workflows, value-based care initiatives and collaborative care models.
  • Experience developing PCP incentive programs and referral models for behavioral health.
  • Deep expertise in payer-provider relationships, reimbursement structures, and referral incentives within telehealth and behavioral health.
  • Proven experience in negotiating complex contracts with integrated delivery systems
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic GTM plans tailored to regional variations in healthcare delivery models.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Google Sheets, etc.) and market research platforms for competitive analysis

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with behavioral digital health, telehealth reimbursement models and collaborative care models
  • Experience with Women’s Health (fertility, post-partum, maternal mental health, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Medicare Advantage, Medicaid Managed Care, and value-based contracting.
  • Experience in fast-growth, mission-driven organizations with cross-functional collaboration.

Compensation

At Talkspace, we believe that pay transparency during the interview process is a critical part of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our salary bands are based on internal and external compensation benchmarks, which we regularly evaluate to ensure we pay competitively.

The base salary range for this role is between $180,000 - $200,000. Within the salary bands, leveling corresponds to each candidate’s relevant experience, skills as assessed during the interview process, education, and applicable certifications.
