Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Nebula Sales to lead our high-performing sales organization in the eDiscovery software market. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth by selling Nebula, our cloud-based eDiscovery platform, to ALSPs, law firms, corporate legal departments, and government agencies while building strategic relationships within the legal technology ecosystem.
The VP, Nebula Sales Americas will be responsible for:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients.
- Achieving and exceeding individual and team revenue targets.
- Initiating and developing relationships with potential key accounts.
- Promoting the company’s value proposition for our cloud-based eDiscovery platform, proactively anticipating any issues and collaborating on effective resolutions.
- Focused on maximizing team performance, motivation and potential.
- Ensuring that performance and quality standards are maintained in line with best practice, procedures, priorities and schedules.
- Promoting the KLDiscovery values.
- Budget management.
Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies targeting law firms, corporate legal departments, and government agencies.
- Create and implement sales processes that address the unique compliance and security needs of legal clients.
- Establish revenue targets and consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual goals.
- Continuously analyze market trends, sales performance, and competitor activities to refine strategies and processes.
- Work with leadership to forecast business performance on monthly, quarterly, and annual bases.
- Foster strong relationships at all levels, both internally and externally:
- Maintain and grow key accounts
- Liaise with overseas business development teams on global account initiatives
- Collaborate with all department heads to align messaging around eDiscovery workflows, legal compliance, and data security
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to support sales objectives and meet client expectations.
- Optimize sales processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Team Development & Management
- Leading by example to hire, train and manage the sales team, including Account Directors and Legal Technology Specialists.
- Coaching, developing and mentoring direct reports and ensuring processes are in place to develop team members and drive retention.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to executive management.
- Design and implement sales training programs covering eDiscovery fundamentals, legal workflows, and industry regulations.
- Create compensation plans that reflect the complexity and length of eDiscovery sales cycles.
- Foster a culture that emphasizes technical expertise and consultative selling.
Business Travel Requirements
- Travel in the US will be required.
Qualifications
- Strong educational background preferred.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential
- Significant track record of success in business development and account management across the United States, operating at a similar level of seniority.
- Demonstrated experience of building and maintaining strong, commercial relationships with senior stakeholders, internally and externally to successfully accomplish goals.
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of Electronic Discovery software tools and market.
- Proven experience of managing highly successful teams. Able to motivate others to perform at maximum efficiency whilst maintaining quality standards.
- Direct knowledge and/or experience in litigation, regulatory investigations/disputes, insolvency, competition and anti-trust law is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent written ability; extensive experience of producing presentations, proposals and reports for senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to proactively and independently resolve complex issues.
- Extensive knowledge of the use of hosted discovery management applications and tools.
- 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in legal technology or eDiscovery software
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets ($30M+ ARR) in legal technology sales
- Experience building and scaling sales teams focused on legal sector clients
- Strong understanding of eDiscovery workflows, EDRM, and legal technology ecosystem
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, or related field
