Job Overview Summary

The VP, Business Operations will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive operational strategy that aligns with the overall data business objectives. This role will require a proven track record of driving operational excellence, managing complex change initiatives, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture within the business team. The VP will also need to effectively manage risks, identify opportunities for innovation, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Data-Driven Operational Excellence: Drive efficient operations and processes, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
  • Workstream Leadership: Oversee the execution of workstreams within the business charter program, including product development, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of key milestones.
  • Governance Coordination: Manage the recurring cadence of business governance meetings, including core team execution meetings and leadership/steering committee coordination.
  • Customer Success: Collaborate with commercial and marketing teams to develop and implement a robust customer success model, including oversight of the business charter program by interfacing with clients and customers to achieve program milestones.

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operational leadership roles within a complex organization, with a bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field.
  • Clinical Research Technology Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, implementation, and software solution deployment within the clinical research technology field.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of clinical research practices and process, research technology utilization, market landscape, and life science buyer personas.
  • LLM Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their potential applications to drive innovation and efficiency in clinical research.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field.
  • Strategic Thinking and Execution: Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze complex data, and develop innovative solutions to drive operational excellence.
  • Results-Oriented Change Management: Proven track record of achieving measurable results, driving operational efficiency, and improving key performance indicators while leading organizational change initiatives and managing complex transitions within the clinical research technology field.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to influence and inspire teams at all levels within the clinical research technology sector, while fostering strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation

The base salary range for this role is $185,500 - $315,500. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
