The Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to drive the management and expansion of Stop Loss business partnerships in prioritizing profitable growth, business quality, customer service excellence, and training initiatives. This role involves fostering strong client relationships, collaborating with local and global teams, and ensuring a customer experience that reflects the business objectives.

• Location: NC, FL, TN, WA, AZ, and/or CO

• Work Arrangement: Remote

• The starting salary for the VP, BDL role is between $176,000.00 and $290,500.00

• The starting salary for the BDL role is between $112,000.00 and $185,000.00

Your new role

  • Lead the development and implementation of business plans for each allocated customer.

  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

  • Foster the QBE brand across all customer levels.

  • Grow gross written premium (GWP) in line with Segment budgets.

  • Facilitate and lead all customer interactions across all levels.

  • Prudent management of controllable expenses, in alignment with Segment budgets.

  • Successful customer retention and/or acquisition of new customers.

  • Regular reporting of terminations by all customers.

Required Qualifications

  • College Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Work Experience:

Necessary Work Experience includes:

  • 7-10 Years Stop Loss or applicable work experience

Preferred Work Experience includes:

  • Partnership management experience.

  • Business development experience.

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
