We are looking for an experienced VDI engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following job responsibilities as a core contributor to our growing team. As part of our team we will look to optimize the end user experience for our VDI users. As a result of this we are looking for a team member who works with a customer service focused attitude and focus.

Here’s what you'll do

• VMware VDI Design and Implementation:
  • Design, configure, and deploy VMware VDI solutions, including Horizon View, vCenter, and ESXi.
  • Develop and implement architecture plans and strategies for scalable and reliable VDI infrastructure (including multi-region deployments).
• Operational Management:
  • Manage and maintain the health, performance, and reliability of VMware VDI environments.
  • Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to VMware components.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
  • Monitor VDI systems for performance, security, and reliability issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to the VDI infrastructure.
• Security and Compliance:
  • Implement security best practices and ensure VDI systems comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• User Support and Training:
  • Provide technical support to end-users for VDI-related issues.
  • Conduct training sessions for IT staff and end-users on VDI usage and best practices.
• Backup and Recovery:
  • Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery plans for VDI environments.
  • Test and validate backup and recovery processes regularly.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed documentation of VDI configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on system performance, usage, and incidents.
