Overview
Objective
This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations associated with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and for administering all Leave of Absence (LOA) programs in compliance with the organizations policies and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, training, processing, tracking, and coordination of the process. Assists in the coordination of benefits and billing of the employee’s contributions while employee is out on leave.
Looking for strong leaved administration skills. FMLA, ADA, WC, State leave plans etc
Benefits or HR background would be great.

Responsibilities
Description

· Understands the company’s vision, mission, and strategy; understands business unit objectives and sets/accomplishes individual performance goals accordingly.

· Follow up to ensure employee is aware of their responsibilities and of any required documentation and notice to qualify for leave if the leave is still pending after 15 days.

· Serves as an authoritative source to employees relative to the company’s leave and disability programs and paying for benefits while on leave.

· Interface/consult with employees/managers/leave of absence carrier on all issues related to leaves.Provide carriers with timely updates and documentation. Provide excellent customer service.

· is responsible for administering the leave, absence, workers compensation, STD, LTD, Critical Illness, Hospital and PTO programs for all employees from leave initiation through closure, including all appropriate communications and transactional updates related to the employee’s HR record
· Track all requests for leave, updates in UKG and other databases as necessary. Maintain all records and documents

· Determine an employee’s intent to return to work and ensures that on or before the day that associate returns to work, written certification is received from a healthcare provider indicating that the employee is able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. If accommodation(s) are requested, ensures that the accommodations are specific. Work with HR/branch/manager to ensure that the accommodations can be accommodated.

Qualifications
Required: 4 year BS or BA degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disability Act (ADAAA), Individual State Leave Laws, and Workers ’ Compensation regulations, as it pertains to FMLA and ADAAA. State specific leave plans, STD and LTD
- Ability to communicate with employees at all
- Have oral and written communication skills and human relations skill
- Must have the ability to self-learn, be able to work independently and make sound decisions supported by facts and data.
- Must be able to prioritize and organize effectively and efficiently. Demonstrate attention to detail.
