WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Vice President, Sales - Retail
The VP of Retail Sales is a hands-on leader who moves easily from strategic to tactical with a focus on setting and achieving strategic sales and account goals within the Retail Customer Segment. Through planning, coordination, implementation, maintenance, and communication among all stakeholders, this role will drive accelerated growth in accounts and bring on new, valuable customers. This position will build deep relationships with Customers and synchronize Vetsource and account objectives for mutual benefits and gains. The VP of Retail Sales will determine market positioning with strategic accounts and work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure that sufficient and effective products and resources are in place for customers.

This is a full-time, remote position.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Through strategic planning, relationship building, key initiative oversight, internal and external stakeholder engagement, effectiveness of the Retail Sales Team and customer and pipeline development, this role will drive accelerated growth of the retail segment.

  • Focus on winning new pipeline and growth and retention of top existing customers.

  • Capture market share, grow revenue and generate profitable business within all assigned customer segments and across all product categories.

  • Identify opportunities that can be addressed through innovation and collaboration driving a positive customer and pet owner experience.

  • Able to influence cross-functional teams, shows confidence and optimism in the future of the organization, and engages others to join in building that future.

  • Leads and drives achievement of the sales team’s performance including key performance measurements, setting high standards and holding team members accountable for performance.

  • Hire, develop, and lead a team of sales leaders.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 15+ years of management experience within account management and /or strategic partner development OR minimum of 15 years of sales management success in a technology-focused business-to-business environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master's Degree preferred.

  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performance sales teams that can grow as the business rapidly scales.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience as the sales leader in a high-growth B2B/B2B2C company selling to small, medium and large size businesses.

  • Pet Industry experience required.

Pay range (US based applicants): $185,400 - $235,000 (annualized)

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, certifications, relevant education and training, while also considering internal equity.
