Job Title: Validation and Verification Engineer - AE Defense

Working Pattern:  Hybrid

Working location:  Indianapolis, IN

The AE Defense V&V Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Rolls-Royce has sufficient oversight for our products to meet business, customer and regulatory requirements. The role will coordinate and execute key technical activities for the AE Defense programs.  This may include activities in the functional areas of Program Management of Engineering projects, Systems Engineering, and System Verification.

What you will be doing

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the technical program management and engineering efforts for AE 2100, AE 1107 and AE 3007 defense projects.

  • Coordinate the technical activities of a multi-functional team that delivers engineering solutions for design/configuration changes and resolutions to production and fleet investigations.

  • Lead qualification activities for AE 3007N engine program in support of the Boeing MQ-25 Stingray.

  • Lead AE defense engineering projects and develop/communicate the plan and budget for delivering such improvements to cost and schedule.

  • Represent the engine program in technical meetings with customers, operators, and airworthiness authorities.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2+ years of experience OR

  • Master’s degree in engineering with 0+ years of experience OR

  • JD/PhD

  • Must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident

Preferred Requirements:

  • Good communication, presentation skills and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment

  • Experience in business case development and project management

  • Demonstrated project planning and management experience and ability to work without supervision on a multifunctional engineering project team

  • Experience interfacing with customers on technical program issues

Salary Range:  $90,985 - $136,477

Relocation is available for this role.
