Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.
- If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
- If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?
- Understanding IT infrastructure domains, including data centers, network, server utilization, virtual environments, cloud, storage, and application development
- Outstanding analytic, conceptual, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Quick learner, detail-oriented, aptitude for systems, and experienced in demonstrating detailed and strong ownership of work
- Strength in gathering functional and business requirements, rapidly translating that information into a working set of problem statements, and finally developing solutions
- Strong time management skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and management of multiple priority task assignments
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a willingness to collaborate and assist others
- Understanding of fundamental financial principles
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance or related field
- Four or more years of IT Finance or TBM work experience
- Knowledge of TBM processes and methodologies
- Experience with Apptio configuration and report writing
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Gathers, interprets, and uses information from IT functions, finance, and the business for use in data models and reports showing the cost, quality, benefits, and value of IT products and services
- Develop executive-level assessments and presentations to inform IT governance and decisionmaking on the cost-to-value of IT spending
- Performs regular analysis and reporting for stakeholders, including performance assessment against established goals
- Drives IT cost management discipline via opportunity cost identification, continuous improvement, and methods to optimize spend and ROI
- Configures, tests, & documents TBM tool dashboards, reports, and underlying data models to meet functional design and specifications
- Work with Finance and Service Owners to analyze financial and service data inputs from all financial and IT information systems to maintain the effectiveness of the IT Financial Management (ITFM) toolset
- Collaborate with IT Executives and Finance on IT Total Cost of Ownership, financial metrics, and cost transparency initiatives
- Identify and document requirements for Cost Model and ITFM improvements that increase trust and transparency of consumption and unit cost of IT Services/Products
- Collaborate to ensure cost optimization embedded into processes, reporting, and management routines in IT
- Coach those involved in cost optimization initiatives on best practices for implementing sustaining changes, including

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $57,000 - $145,000.
