NOTE: This role may be worked remotely from anywhere in North America
About the role:
We enable and accelerate enterprise Continuous Delivery at FIS – by building best of class platforms, tools and evangelization of CI/CD practice. We are a full stack organization operating in public clouds (AWS, Azure) and private cloud (FIS). We power hundreds of business applications to get to market quicker, with quality and security. What you will be doing:
- Working individually or within a team on technology business consulting projects to meet specific client requirements. These client requirements can be deployment, upgrade, or troubleshooting of FIS products like Private Capital Suite.
- Contacting other teams to get information and solutions to situations in which the general documentation is not sufficient. Reporting any problems with the installers and the instructions to the teams responsible for their maintenance.
- Devising and/or modifying processes and procedures to achieve greater efficiencies and to solve most complex technical problems related to technical specifications and list of pre-requisites for Private Capital Suite.
- Mentoring other engineers in the team, drawing on your experience to provide thoughtful direction.
- Working closely with remote teams across multiple time zones.
- May play a key role in training client and technical support personnel on enhancements, new systems or procedures. Training may be delivered one-on-one as knowledge transfer or in a classroom setting depending on number in audience and client preference.
What you bring:
- More than 5 years of experience in Cloud/DevOps space, including MS Azure and AWS.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of networking and firewall configuration.
- Knowledge of application architecture.
- Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience developing solutions with public cloud services including application gateway, load balancers, containers, containers orchestration like Kubernetes/Docker Swarm.
- Experience with PowerShell, Jenkins, Bash.
- Configuration management tool experience with Ansible.
- Experience writing infrastructure as code with Terraform.
- Experience with docker container registries like Artifactory.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines and practical experience implementing them.
- Experience with high availability, load balancing, and disaster recovery.
- Basic database management understanding (execute scripts, backups, restores).
- Team player willing to partner with internal and external teams.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in relation to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization.
- Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources.
Nice to have the following:
- Experience with automation of application deployment.
- Jenkins Groovy understanding.
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.
- Understanding of supporting services like RabbitMQ for message passing, Redis for cache, both NGINX and HAProxy as load balancers.
- Experience with troubleshooting certificate issues.
- A technical blog, a public GitHub repo, or contributions to open-source projects.
