Job Description:

GDIT has been supporting the IHS mission for 20+ years; working with the agency to provide integral services to raise health access and availability to 2.6 million American Indians and Alaska Natives. You'll be part of modernizing the EHR platform to enable better data access, patient experience, and quality of care for 567 tribes, 37 states and over 600 medical facilities.

Our work depends on a Technical Training Supervisor joining our team to support the Indian Health Service (IHS) Electronic Health Records Modernization (EHRM) program.

This position is fully remote.

HOW THIS POSITION WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Responsible for managing the project team trainers.

  • Tracks needs and progress of end-user training as well as the onboarding required for new associates.

  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to establish support for learning solutions, building and maintaining internal and external client relationships, and managing learning project resources and scope according to project plan and contractual commitments.

  • May supervise others

  • Supporting the completion of all phases of a training project, including project design, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing to ensure all projects – whether directly managing, executing the work, or providing oversight – are successful.

  • Building strong client and consultant relationships, completing regular client and consultant check-ins, reviewing status reports and budgets, providing recommendations and best practices, and identifying and mitigating project risks

  • Monitoring and managing the project resources, scope, timeline, and budget adherence.

  • Communicating effectively with all project stakeholders while serving as an escalation path to managing concerns or issues, which may occur through collaboration or referral to the appropriate department or position.

  • Supporting in the development of IHS solution materials, such as toolkit documentation, proposals, and presentations.

  • Acting as point of escalation for project team and client.

  • Develop strategies for the effective deployment of training initiatives, considering logistical aspects, resources, and timelines.

  • Supporting compliance – Ensure that all training programs adhere to federal regulations, policies, and compliance standards.

  • Supporting the effort to maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes for reporting and auditing purposes.

  • Responsible for tracking successful completion of all tasks in an assigned project.

  • Supports the creation of progress reports and briefs on project status and milestones in accordance with communication plan.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 8+ years of experience supporting medium to large IT projects

  • May substitute years of experience for education.

  • Completion of Oracle Cerner certification program is equivalent to 3 years of experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance. 

  • Ability to travel between 25%-50% of the year, based on project timeline and needs.

  • Solution-oriented; skilled in grasping the essentials in complex situations, anticipating client needs, and conceptualizing both problems and solutions.

The likely salary range for this position is $89,250 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
