System Solution Architect, High Performance Computing Racks (REMOTE)

POSITION SUMMARY
The System Solution Architect, HPC (AI) Racks is a crucial member of the Global Strategic Accounts (GSA) AC Power Team during the early engagement phases of customer programs with large industry leading customers. The position requires competencies in HPC (AI) and OCP rack designs as part of an overall Dynamic Power solution, as well as customer and presentation skills to deliver custom solutions to meet demanding customer business challenges. The role will be developing solutions and reference designs for new and evolving HPC (AI) and OCP Dynamic Power technologies like liquid and air-cooled loads, power bussing, data bussing and rPDUs as well as mechanical considerations for liquid cooling deployments to and within the rack. It is a mix of mechanical, thermal, and electrical skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Customers and AC Power Technical teams with technical assistance and support for technical documentation and customer facing presentations and engagements including leading customer communications.
- Develop design options for Dynamic Power HPC (AI) rack architectures depending on the customer requirements and market needs. Designs include complete rack deployments.
- Produce technical proposals, design documentation, and project proposals to support the design process and delivery to customers.
- Must be an active Engineer in designing and architecting solution-based projects that include internal design while incorporating third-party components to resolve end-customer solutions and products.
- Lead and participate in customer presentations and project delivery including over-sight and contribution to costing, schedule, site logistics, and customer pricing.
- Create, control, review and approve technical solutions and customer proposals.
- Interact with customers to transition thoughts and concepts into solutions and deliver that interaction through documented specifications and presentations. Provide feedback to the AC Power and Thermal LOB on product needs that include both improvements/modifications to existing products and new product solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of work experience in data center design and applications.
- 3+ years of experience with the creation, control, review and approval of technical solutions and customer proposals related to data center design.
- Must be proficient in providing technical support for solutions in the IT and Telecom industries.
- Strong organizational, time management, and customer interaction skills.
- Must possess a working knowledge of IT and Telecom industry end-applications to successfully deploy the support infrastructure required.
- Must possess solution-based thinking that will incorporate mechanical, thermal, electrical, and other engineering competencies to an end-customer deployment.
- Practical experience with HPC and OCP rack designs is considered beneficial.
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
- Approximately 50% of travel per year including International for customer interaction as well as for internal team collaboration.

The anticipated total compensation range for this role in the CA and WA locality is between $200-$250k per year salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. The role is on an 80/20 split, the 20% Sales Incentive pays monthly which is included in the $200-$250k total compensation number. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided during the hiring process.
