The Raytheon Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW) Team is a multi-disciplined engineering team, providing SSOW development and requirements definition expertise within the Supplier Engineering organization. The SSOW Team is looking for a well-organized, self-starter to join the team. This is a remote opportunity with nominal travel (once or maybe twice per year).
The Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW) Team is responsible for facilitating cross-functional stakeholder participation in the development of high-quality, process-compliant, best-fit SSOWs for Raytheon procurements. The SSOW team mitigates procurement risk by ensuring customer requirements, program intentions, and Raytheon best practices are integrated into clear, concise, and compliant SSOWs for Raytheon programs.
What you will do:
- Supporting Raytheon Programs in SSOW development as:
- SSOW Coordinator - leading cross-functional program stakeholders through the SSOW development process; ensuring process compliance and diligence in SSOW development.
- SSOW Compiler - compiling the SSOW document based on inputs from stakeholders; producing a clean, professional, and release-ready document.
- SSOW subject matter expert (SME) - providing best practice recommendations to SSOW development and towards risk mitigation.
- Self-managing workload and taking initiative to engage with peers, stakeholders and teammates as needed to support organizational goals.
- Tracking work assignments and providing and maintaining related data in support of organization performance metrics.
- Pursuing and implementing continuous improvements in the SSOW and requirements definition domain to align to business goals and strategic initiatives
What you will learn:
- SSOW Specialist designation (Raytheon Supplier Engineering SSOW Qualification Program) or capable of achieving qualified status within the first six (6) months of being in the role.
Qualifications you must have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience described as:
- Industry experience related to product and services procurements, design, delivery, technical data packages, configuration management, program management, and contracts OR and advanced degree and 5 years industry related experience as described above.
- Two years’ experience in SSOW development.
- Experience in a matrixed or multi-level cross-functional business.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications we prefer:
- 5+ years of Raytheon hardware engineering experience
- Proficient in SSOW best practices, and SSOW development process
- Qualified SSOW Specialist per Raytheon Supplier Engineering SSOW Qualification Program or capable of achieving qualified status within the first six (6) months of being in the role
- Experience in adjacent roles such as Supplier Engineering and/or subcontract management
- Experience in risk management, including identifying / quantifying risks and developing mitigation strategies / plans
- Background defining and writing requirements.
- Understands how requirements flow down from contracts and specifications into lower-level documentation
- Able to lead by influence; can drive peers to action completion
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).
This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
