Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced and results-driven Supplier Performance Manager to join our team as an individual contributor. In this role, you will be pivotal in enhancing our supplier relationships and driving performance improvements across our Galley Inserts supply chain. You will be responsible for managing supplier performance metrics, ensuring compliance with our quality standards, and implementing strategies to achieve operational excellence. Your analytical skills, strategic mindset, and ability to foster strong partnerships will be essential in supporting our mission to deliver innovative aerospace solutions.

This is a remote role and anticipated travel is 50-70%. Primary travel will be based to the West Coast.

What You Will Do:

  • Supplier Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against key metrics such as quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness. Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps and drive continuous improvement.

  • Supplier Development: Collaborate with suppliers to identify areas for performance enhancement and provide guidance and support to improve their capabilities. Facilitate training and development programs as needed.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that suppliers meet Collins Aerospace’s quality standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits and assessments to verify compliance and address any quality issues promptly.

  • Data Analysis: Analyze performance data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement. Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and recommendations for supplier management strategies.

  • Strategic Sourcing: Work closely with the sourcing and procurement teams to support strategic sourcing initiatives. Provide input on supplier selection and contribute to the development of supplier strategies that align with company objectives.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with internal stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, to ensure alignment on supplier performance expectations and resolve any issues that may impact production or project timelines.

  • Supplier Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with supplier performance and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on the supply chain. Monitor and manage supplier risk factors proactively.

  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance supplier performance and process efficiency. Drive the adoption of best practices and innovative approaches to improve supplier relationships and operational outcomes.

  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present regular performance reports and updates to senior management. Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams to ensure clarity on expectations and progress.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Advanced Certifications: Certifications in supply chain or quality management (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma Black Belt).

  • Industry Experience: Experience in aerospace or high-tech manufacturing environments.

  • Global Supply Chain Knowledge: Understanding of global supply chain dynamics and international sourcing practices.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with supplier management or ERP systems.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
