The Supervisor, Media Production is a key member of the Marketing team responsible for video production, audio production, photography, asset curation, and related media support for Assurant and its clients. This position ensures that the output for all video, audio and original photography projects match the prescribed brand vision for each and are delivered at the highest standards of quality that accurately reflect Assurant as a world class marketing partner.
The Supervisor, Media Production is the strategist, project leader and proponent of the media production process for delivering visual marketing solutions that leverage the most innovative and impactful content for Assurant and its clients. As such, the Supervisor, Media Production leads, manages, and produces any and all types of video, audio and photography (in-house, in-sourced, or outsourced) working closely with all co-contributors, stakeholders and account managers to create and produce each piece of branded content, as directed by the Director, Marketing Design. The position ensures that the right resources, people, policies and procedures are in place in order to successfully deliver effective digital media and photography assets for marketing solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Leads and manages the day-to-day responsibilities of the Media Production team.
- Helps plan and develop all media-based projects from concept through pre production, production, post production, mastering and archiving.
- Provides guidance to studio talent to support their successful contribution to video productions
- Continually reviews and improves video, motion, audio, and photography production processes to ensure procedures are streamlined, easy to follow, and cost-effective.
- Communicates frequently and effectively with various project collaborators to ensure that goals and objectives are met.
- Establishes and upholds high media and photography production standards.
- Works effectively with internal and external project collaborators to ensure that goals and objectives are met within budgetary guidelines.
- Works with external vendors to develop projects when necessary.
- Administrates the DAM system and manages photography, audio, video and motion graphics assets.
- Assesses and acquires departmental equipment and resources for optimal production capabilities.
- Ensures proper maintenance and repair of departmental resources and facilities.
- Must have the desire to work in a creative, demanding, competitive environment, while having superior attention to detail and the ability to share and delegate ownership of projects.
- Monitor and report on department activity, workload and productivity.
- Evening and weekend work may be required.
- Some travel is required.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Film, Graphic Arts or related
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience producing video, graphics, and animation.
- Expert knowledge of video editing, audio editing, and authoring software such as Final Cut Pro x, Adobe; Premier, Photoshop, Audition, Encore, Media encoder, After Effects, Motion 2d motion graphics
- Expert knowledge of Photography and Videography- cameras, equipment, operation, techniques, aesthetics, archiving, lighting techniques, lenses, support, advanced technical processes and formats
- Familiarity with internet technologies like FTP, videoconferencing, webinar, file transfer, Vimeo, YouTube, and digital asset management
- Expert knowledge of photo markets including experience with freelancers, usage and rights administration, copyright law and issues
- High level of proficiency using photographic, video and audio recording equipment.
- Expert knowledge of media production techniques and processes required to produce impactful marketing and communication tools.
- Experience researching and recommending the latest video and multimedia production technologies.
- Strong project management skills required.
- Flexible and customer-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with regularity
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate
individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills. - Consistently demonstrates a high level of customer satisfaction for internal and external stakeholders.
- Computer proficiency required, including experience with and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Desire to stay abreast of the latest trends in animation, video production, audio and music and if/how/when they can be incorporated into Assurant productions.

Pay Range:
$72,900.00 - $121,900.00Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
