Summer Internship: US Market Access Strategic Marketing Intern

Education Required:
• Student enrolled in a health-science or business undergraduate program at a 4-year accredited college or university, preferably a rising junior or senior
• Current, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and student must be returning to school in the fall term.
General Description:
This 10 –12 week internship offers the opportunity to gain valuable Market Access knowledge and experience within the commercial organization of a rapidly growing, patient centric, biotech company. You will both lead and support meaningful initiatives related to obtaining access and reimbursement for BeiGene’s two products – BRUKINSA and TEVIMBRA. The individual will play a key role representing the department regarding activities such as short and long-range strategy planning, monitoring, and managing performance, refining Department processes and procedures as appropriate, optimizing partnerships and communication within Department and cross-functional departments/stakeholders. In addition, the candidate will also have a business-critical core deliverable which you will present to a cross-functional group of internal stakeholders at the conclusion of the internship.

The position will directly support the Sr. Director, US Market Access Strategic Marketing.
Essential Functions of the job:
US Market Access Strategy Marketing:
• Help develop and rollout a marketing resource that will support our field Account Directors efforts with key accounts
• Ensure patients have access to our products and maintain treatment affordability
• Help shape strategies that deliver bold pharmaceutical innovations and medications to patients
• Gain real-world experience working on high visibility assignments across a product cycle from concept to commercialization
• Drive projects in the oncology market space
• Partner with the colleagues in the US Market Access department to drive efficiency/productivity, and communication/collaboration: intra-organizational, inter-departmental, and with external stakeholders and strategic partners
• Support the team to align, integrate the various department segment leaders: Pricing & Contracting, Value & Strategy, Payers & PBMs, Patient Services & Distribution, and Physician Networks and Organized Customers
• Help represent Market Access function internally with cross-functional departments such as sales, sales leadership, marketing, GOBA, finance and others as needed, promoting collaboration and effectiveness
• Partner, triage, assist and support the development of internal presentations including quarterly business reviews, access-related training, cross functional updates and Market Access Leadership Team (MALT) meetings
• Support the communication and rollout of market access commercial operations and shared service models to ensure market alignment, awareness and buy-in
• Drive consistent communication and collaboration within the Market Access function and across the organization; identify opportunities for consensus

Qualifications:
• Student enrolled in a health-science or business undergraduate program at a 4-year accredited college or university, preferably a rising junior or senior
• Current, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and student must be returning to school in the Fall Term
• Must be available to work up to 40 hours a week
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Computer Skills: Standard Computer Skills required, comfortable in working with complex data sets / databases
Travel: U.S.-based, hybrid role, with approximately 20% of time expected in internal meeting and events
Pay Rate: $27.50/hour
