Summer Internship Experience – Internships in Finance

Job Description:

The dentsu Summer Experience is an immersive, 9-week program for students and career shifters looking for real-world experience and professional development in a leading global marketing agency. You will report to the manager on your respective team.

Quick Info:

This paid, full-time internship will run June 2 – August 1, 2025. The program is hybrid with our ideal candidates being based within commutable distance to our New York office.

This program is designed to introduce you, an aspiring finance professional, to the advertising industry. You will explore finance career paths and have access to our development tools, senior mentors, and will receive hands-on technical training.

Responsibilities can include

• Exposure to client contracting, negotiation strategies, and pricing development
• Assist us with annual, monthly, and quarterly budgeting forecasting
• Learn company margin management
• Create budget and forecast templates
• Assist us with monthly financial close and account reconciliations
• Analyze financial information to support company decision making
• Provide support in the preparation of client pricing and staffing plans
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Recommend process improvements
• Reconcile Cash, Intercompany, and project balances
• Monitor job activity, prepare and assist with fee, and production reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Ad-Hoc reports and financial analysis

Qualifications

• You are a current student, graduate or career changer looking to enter a new industry. No prior professional experience is required to apply. This role is intended to provide an entry-point for you into the industry, and we will develop your skills and experience along the way. 

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

Additional information

The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $18.00. Hourly pay rate is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
