We're looking for people that will drive team success and collaboration across SentinelOne. If you’re enthusiastic about innovative approaches to problem-solving, we would love to speak with you about joining our team!

About the Role:

The SentinelOne Product Documentation team is responsible for the creation and maintenance of the knowledge base, product help, support-specific deliverables, and on-demand PDFs. We use an XML-based CCMS that single-sources to all our delivery mediums. We are committed to constant innovation and improvement of methodologies and self-development.

As a Staff Technical Writer, you will lead by example. Every team member is expected to learn technology on their own, use the product, create assets (procedures, videos, conceptual topics, and more), be helpful and responsive to all in SentinelOne, and work as a team (sharing the load and knowledge).

What are we looking for?

You will lead and assist with the creation of videos, release notes, user procedures, user scenarios, graphics, and innovate for more formats. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and managing virtual environments and running complex automation scripts. As a senior member, you will guide peer reviews and ensure all writing adheres to our controlled language and style guide. Every day will present new challenges, requiring your advanced skills and leadership to guide the team through the diverse requirements of current projects.

What will you do?

  • Lead the planning, research, and documentation of features in a topic-based method. Your research will involve in-depth collaboration with Support, Development, QA, Product Management, and other teams, setting an example of self-learning through hands-on and independent study.
  • Write and oversee writing according to our style guide and our implementation of STE to create error-free release notes and admin guides, published to multiple formats. Your work will help set the quality standard.
  • Work closely with the Product Documentation team to create integrated, consistent deliverables and to drive innovation for constant improvement. Your experience will be key in identifying and implementing these improvements.
  • Assist with the workload on team projects for quick releases and across-the-board quality updates, ensuring timely delivery and consistent quality.

What skills and knowledge should you bring?

  • 8+ years of experience as a technical writer in English, with at least 3 years focused on enterprise software or cybersecurity product documentation.
  • Bachelor and/or Graduate degree(s) in technical writing or a related field, with a history of continued professional development.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, produce high-quality work, and guide others to do the same.
  • Proven track record of consistent self-tracking and project management in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (native level).
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration across global teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and their application in product documentation is preferred.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and shape technical documentation practices in the dynamic field of cybersecurity. If you're passionate about creating world-class documentation and driving team excellence, we want you on our team.
