A DAY IN THE LIFE:

The Sr. Trade Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with assigned customers and accounts with the priority of meeting and exceeding Tandem’s business objectives. This role serves as a liaison between Tandem and assigned accounts, providing feedback and communications in both directions. The. Sr. Trade Account Manager is also responsible for forecasting, strategic planning, and operational problem resolution.  This position develops and cultivates relationships to support the new business growth and optimize current business.

  • Develop relationships with account leadership on a regional and national level to ensure attainment and retention of market share, sales plans, and profitability.
  • Establishes stable, long-term contractual relationships that are efficient and predictable, including negotiating distributor contracts, pricing, service levels, and deliverables.
  • Works collaboratively with the US Market Access, Marketing, Sales, Finance, HR, and others to develop, set and execute dual channel strategies.
  • Creates, manages, and coordinates the relationships with account direct sales efforts with Tandem’s field sales team.
  • Establishes and consistently reviews account metrics to drive and ensure a high level of execution.
  • Serves as internal and external contact to the sales organization for distributor relations and their customer activities.
  • Resolves distributor complaints and inquiries in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Keeps the organization informed as to the progress of distribution relationships.
  • Provides regular reports to management on revenue metrics, such as sales to-date and sales forecasts.
  • Leads the account sales efforts to achieve target revenue goals, including year over year growth objectives.
  • Provides input into the design and development of training programs and materials directed towards distributors that support the launch and sale of Tandem products.
  • Manages portfolio and identifies opportunities for revenue and margin improvement, market share growth, and improved customer relations; ensure improved margin, and market share.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

YOU’RE AWESOME AT:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A/B.S.) in related field or combination of equivalent education and applicable work experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of business development and or healthcare network operations experience marked by proven success and business generation.
  • Demonstrated capability in driving corporate strategy through understanding of the market and industry.
  • Strong understanding of the US access environment, including distributors, pharmacies, reimbursement / co-pay support services, payer coverage, pricing.
  • Skilled at negotiating with business partners or management and influencing leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex business challenges and data-driven recommendations.
  • Proven ability to work independently, demonstrating self-motivation to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Understanding of reimbursement methodologies utilized by commercial and government payers under pharmacy benefits.
  • Skilled at effectively communicating department or area issues and results and conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or timelines. Able to gain cooperation of others.
  • Able to prioritize activities and determine when and how to take on new initiatives.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

The starting base pay range for this position is $125K - $172K annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.
