As a part of the Supplier Material Verification Team, this Manager of supplier quality inspection position is responsible for leading a team that deploys resources for inspection of material at Raytheon suppliers.
This role is remote and will support various RTX inspection facilities located within the US.
What You Will Do:
- Management of a remote Source Inspection scheduling team.
- Manage and support the deployment of source inspection operations strategy, control systems, tools, and metrics to accurately measure progress, capacity, quality, and staffing issues
- Manage disposition of nonconforming supplier material to accurately measure supplier performance.
- Support and coach the development and growth of the team.
- Daily collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives.
- Ensures the full compliance of company policies and procedures
- Workforce planning and forecasting
- Employee hiring and training
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using CORE
- Develop/implement corrective action plans to support inspection escapes
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on inspection scheduling and contribute to strategic decision-making
- Management of third-party supplier statement of work (SOW)
Qualifications You Must Have:
- typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a STEM related field and a minimum of 3 year's experience.
- Previous experience managing a small team.
- Experience identifying root cause and initiate / implementing effective short-term and long-term corrective actions.
- Experience with commercial and/or aerospace / defense regulations and/or standards of a commercial equivalent with any of the following: - AS9100, AS9102, ISO-9000, ISO-9001, AS9145.
- Experience working with SAP and / or PRISM (Raytheon Proprietary) to generate daily and weekly metrics.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team with representatives from Supply Chain, Operations, Program Quality and Manufacturing.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Strong management skills including the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision, goal setting, delegation, coaching, and motivating.
- Supervisory experience in the aerospace/defense industry and with represented employees
- Knowledge of Supplier Quality and receiving inspection
- Certification in Six Sigma, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ)
- Knowledge of industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.)
- Experience with cables and wiring harnesses, electro-mechanical assemblies, machined components, and/or circuit card assemblies.
- GD&T Knowledge, understanding, and practical application.
- Practical knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action processes
- Practical knowledge of First Article Inspection and AS9102 management
- Knowledge of General Statistical Process Control
- Experience building and maintaining relationships with customers or partners (both internal and external to Raytheon), including experience in an international / global setting
- Communication skills that exhibit presence and influence
- Self-managed technical contributor

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
