We are seeking a Senior SailPoint Identity IQ Engineer to join Ferguson's Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. This role is essential in ensuring seamless environment availability, robust integrations, and secure connectivity across all systems. As a key contributor to our SDLC and CI/CD processes, you’ll be involved in every stage, from inception through to production deployment. The ideal candidate has strong experience in SailPoint IIQ, allowing them to collaborate optimally with both operations and delivery teams on diverse development tasks within our IAM environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
**This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.**
Duties and Responsibilities:
Security Delivery and Engineering (75%)
- Serves as technical resource on various initiatives.
- Provides critical engineering support to our SailPoint IIQ platform.
- Responsible for various manual SDLC process and as well as automated CI\CD elements.
- Will participate in a variety of IAM delivery tasks as needed from agile story development through to actual object development.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with all customers.
- Collaborate with third party vendors to deliver Security solutions.
- Understands customer objectives and develops strategies that map to security service offerings.
- Advocates for new/enhanced Identity and Access Management Security services on behalf of customers.
- Supplies requirements to technology selection process.
- Provides technical stewardship for Identity and Access Management Security service offerings.
Security Process Improvement and Organizational Alignment (25%)
- Document various aspects of Security Service Delivery, in support of Service Management Teams.
- See opportunities to engage, educate, and coordinate other team members and collaborators, upon which Security and its processes depend.
- Understand Security and company objectives and develop support strategies and how they map to Security Service Offerings.
Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Perform other duties or functions as requested by management.
Qualifications and requirements
- Three (3) years or more relevant technical engineering experience and/or technical background within Information Security or security-related infrastructure, preferably in various Identity and Access Management technologies.
- The ideal candidate will have experience using SailPoint IdentityIQ with relevant certification being highly desirable. Alternatively, a four (4) year degree and at least two (2) years of experience in technology position.
- Ability to work on multi-functional teams.
- Ability to work with all levels of the organization: Executives to developers.
- Experience with Git and particularly GitHub (EMU) and GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge and practical experience with SailPoint IIQ in a large-scale deployment is highly desirable.
- Application of logic, reasoning, and problem solving.
- Strong ability to work with time/date deadlines.
- Ability to efficiently operate computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
- Applies knowledge (principles, theories, and concepts) and skills of a specific/specialized technical area within the context of a similar industry or type of organization.
- Must be self-motivated, proactive, creative, and efficient in identifying/understanding issues that lead to solution proposals.
- Has experience/understanding of IT operations and service delivery model.
- Builds and maintains good working relationships.
- Excellent written, oral, instructional, presentation, and social skills.
- Desire to specialize in engineering Identity and Access Management technologies and processes.
- Demonstrates leadership skills that can be used to guide a project.
- Has knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
- Improves and/or adapts work methods based on past personal experiences without the benefit of defined procedures and identifies solutions to problems through interpretive skills and analyses.
- Knowledge and experience using Agile and Waterfall project methodologies is a plus.

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
