Sr Risk Manager, Product Quality, Product Quality

We are looking for a data savvy critical thinker, experienced program leader and talented writer to lead and support our product team to drive our policies, program and automation charter to mitigate counterfeit risk issues faced by Amazon. As a Senior Risk Manager, you will own the development and improvement of our internal tools, external communication, and ensure are controls are operating effectively and efficiently by implementing audit and decision quality mechanisms. You will need to develop deep understanding of product quality risks and various buyer and seller pain points to drive innovative strategies that strike the right balance between mitigating risk and improving partner experiences. These decisions must align with the overall organizational mental model and goals. The role requires excellent stakeholder management across WW business, tech, legal, and operations teams.
The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator who obsesses over both the buyers and seller experience on Amazon. They will be energized by working with cross-functional teams and have a proven track record of succeeding in ambiguous situations. They will be comfortable with deriving insights from data and conceptualizing stragies that minimize product quality risks while ensuring a positive and predictable seller experience. They will have track record of working across business, legal, product, engineering, data science, and operations teams to deliver successful launches on a global scale. They balance an impeccable attention to detail with the ability to achieve quick results.
Key job responsibilities
This Senior Risk Manager can expect to:
- Own end-to-end process and program initiatives across our listing quality program to mitigate product qualify risk
- Define roadmaps to achieve business goals that effectively balance risks facing Amazon customers with enabling a positive selling experience for our partners.
- Work as a partner with our product team, science and tech to provide short and long-term scalable solutions to close identified risks.
- Strengthen internal risk controls related to seller communications and investigation decision quality for seller applications to list high risk products.
- Work with business, legal, operations, and technology stakeholders to define requirements, establish policies, and measure results.
- Plan and conduct product/business reviews and reporting, regularly communicate business updates to key stakeholders.
- Seek opportunities for streamlining and simplification of existing mechanisms.
- Define and report on key metrics and performance indicators to measure overall program and product performance and provide a foundation for continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Excellent stakeholder management and comfort with ambiguity
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification- Master's degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
