About the team
We seek a skilled Product Manager to join the team focused on HCP user experiences. This is a crucial role with a specific focus on collaborating with the secure and infrastructure development teams to facilitate engaging, proficient, and accessible user journeys, making it easy for developers to consume infrastructure securely.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a PM team focused on solving the complex problems of delivering intuitive experiences across a diverse technology platform while supporting complex infrastructure use cases.
What you’ll do (responsibilities)
- Own the strategy and roadmap for cross-product experiences that drive business impact, including HashiCorp’s Helios Design System (HDS)
- Conduct generative and evaluative user research in collaboration with the design team to understand the right underlying problem to focus on, the right solution to the problem, and the right embodiment of the solution
- Craft the product story by grasping the landscape, user needs, and HashiCorp principles
- Prioritize the offering roadmap by taking feedback from customers, field teams, and ecosystem partners
- Develop JTBD and Critical User Journeys in collaboration with Design for the targeted Persona as part of the discovery process
- Write detailed problem requirement documents that articulate the right problem to solve, setting the context for the product delivery
- Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and peer PM partners across HCP product teams on product delivery
- Communicate product status to all partners: keep support, sales and marketing updated on feature releases and keep engineering informed on feature requests
- Enable go-to-market by educating on the product story and contributing to internal and customer-facing collateral
What you’ll need (basic qualifications)
- 8+ years of product management experience, including with developer products
- Demonstrated success delivering delightful products cross-functionally and/or design systems across multiple product lines
- Tech Conversance—Comfort quickly building an understanding of technical products and engaging in conversations with subject matter experts about them
- User Empathy—Curiosity about what motivates our customers, why they choose our products, how they adopt and use our products, and their pain points
- Drive to Simplify—Shape common, simple, coherent solutions from complex, possibly divergent inputs
- Passion for Design—familiar with UX heuristics, accessibility compliance, design systems, and design tooling
- Analytical with the ability to prioritize and make tradeoffs based on quantitative and qualitative data
- Adaptability—Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Nice-to-have: Deep knowledge of the enterprise cloud platform infrastructure space and market needs

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:$195,500—$230,000 USDThe base pay range for this role in California (excluding SF Bay Area), New York (excluding NYC), Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, Washington D.C., or Maryland is:$179,300—$210,900 USDThe base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro), Illinois, Minnesota, or Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:$162,900—$191,700 USD“HashiCorp is an IBM subsidiary which has been acquired by IBM and will be integrated into the IBM organization.
