We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in Toronto (preferred), Vancouver, Calgary, or Montreal. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

This role develops and implements placement strategies to meet client needs, drive growth, and ensure exceptional service while maintaining strong relationships with clients, carriers, and underwriters. Additionally, it involves advising on market conditions, facilitating coverage submissions, binding coverage accurately, and providing senior technical support to ensure compliance and effective contract execution.

We will count on you to:

  • Leverages risk expertise and industry knowledge to create tailored placement solutions for clients.

  • Implements placement strategies aimed at achieving growth and delivering exceptional client service.

  • Develops go-to-market strategies, articulate the value of the placement function, and participates in service pricing.

  • Facilitates coverage submissions and obtains quotes from carriers using the “assist, advise, and assume” model.

  • Binds coverage and ensures the accuracy of placement binders while maintaining strong relationships with clients and carriers.

  • Advises on market conditions, supports client retention and new business production, and communicates client issues to management for solution development.

What you need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in US casualty insurance, including general liability, workers' compensation, and/or automobile coverage.

  • Proven negotiation skills in placing complex insurance deals with a strong focus on client relationships and customer service.

  • Proficient in data analysis and Excel spreadsheets

  • Holds or is willing to obtain the necessary broker license for their territory within the first year of employment.

Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $73,000 to $162,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
