Collins Aerospace is seeking a Sr Manager of Billing, Customer Master, and Joint Venture Accounting to join the Shared Services Finance team. This role will oversee billing operations, manage customer master data, and handle joint venture accounting processes to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the following groups with responsibilities included, but not limited to:

  • Billing: Invoicing various types of contracts/invoicing, including cost plus, time and material, flight hours, firm fixed price, and financing requests.

  • Customer Master: Creating and maintaining customer master data ensuring the integrity of our customer information

  • Joint Venture Accounting: Accounting and financial operations of two unpopulated joint ventures including invoicing, collections, financial reporting and tax apportionment data preparation.

  • Perform and analyze contract reconciliations, cancelling funds, closeouts 

  • Partner with internal customers, program finance and external stakeholders to provide direction and clarity regarding government and company policies and procedures regarding invoicing 

  • Lead various initiatives including process improvements, process harmonization, and team building

  • Understand and interpret Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) Regulations as they apply to Department of Defense invoicing and payments

  • Support internal and external audits and controls assessments

  • Occasional travel 5%

What You Will Learn:

  • Partner with Avionics and Mission Systems SBUs to positively impact cash flow

  • Exposure to multiple functions within Collins Aerospace including Contracts, Program Management, Program Planning & Control and Government Accounting

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience 

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

  • 5+ years experience in finance or accounting

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with SAP, especially AOPB and Sales and Distribution functions

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint

  • Experience with U.S. Government contracts and an understanding of the complexities involved in billing for these contracts 

  • Understanding of cost accounting standards to assist with reconciliations and audits to demonstrate costs are billed and rates are correctly applied

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
