Job Description

Essential Job Functions:
• Lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and deliver software solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and priorities.
• Ensure project delivery on time and within budget, mitigating risks and issues.
• Mentor and develop team members to foster growth and innovation, providing regular feedback and coaching.
• Contribute to the development of the software engineering strategy and vision.
• Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and best practices.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and task assignments.
• Drive the adoption of agile methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically, 10+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 4 years in a similar role years of experience in software engineering
• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
• Strong programming and debugging skills
• Proven experience in a leadership role, leading teams and projects
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
• Excellent communication, team leadership, and problem-solving skill
• Ability to prioritize and align software development with business objectives
• Proven experience in successful project delivery

Other Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
• Relevant certifications or training a plus

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $131,300 - $243,800.
